My mom and dad were married 40 years ago today. I wish they could celebrate together. What a great life they had! They had been married 27 years when my mom died. I can't believe she has been gone that long. I sure do miss her. She would be so proud of all my brothers and the choices they have made in their lives. I know she would have enjoyed getting to know Christen, Rachel and now Cassie. (No, I didn't forget Ange . . . my mom knew Ange and would have loved being her mother-in-law).

Funny, I can remember their 10th. I was only 6 years old. Now, I'm comming up on my 10th.
I wish in the 30 years in between I had been working. Then, this year I could retire and live off the fat o' the lan'.
I love those pictures. Ron looks so much like brett in the second one. Wow, they are so cute together in those pics!

I thought the second picture of my dad looked just like Brett as well. I can totally picture him pulling the same face.
I was going to say the same thing - a young Ron looks like Brett, or rather Brett looks like a young Ron?
I love, love your parents' engagement story. Still one of my favorites. I wish I could have met her, too... I can only hope she would have liked me! :)
