End of Middle School/End of High School

This picture is a few weeks old, but for some reason it has the May 25th date. I don't have any other pictures except a Beat the Streak screenshot, so I thought I would love to have this picture here again.
Stockton
Preston had 8th grade Lagoon day today. Luckily he was feeling better. I took him in the jeep so I wouldn't have to drop him off in a car with throw-up all over the outside. Preston was able to ride the bus and hang out at Lagoon with Jack and his friends. Sounds like they had a great time!

Jorja had graduation practice today. Wow. It was yearbook day after the practice. A few people from student government came over here to sign yearbooks and go swimming, but not many showed up. Then ended up just signing yearbooks. I had to have Jorja's attention during that time. I needed to have her help me put together a schedule for her so I could register her for classes while she is at work. I uploaded the file we worked on, but she was unable to get Chinese. She didn't meet the prerequisites. Ugh. Hopefully we can get that straightened out. Everything else was fine.

Alta Coin

Jorja brought home a framed picture of her that was taken on inauguration. I tried to take a picture of it, but that never works out well. I had to angle it so you couldn't see my reflection in it. She did get a file of the student body officer picture. I really wish I had her class pictures every year she was in student government. I would love that. So glad I got this one though! They hang these pictures in one of the hallways at Alta. Mike's is there, now Jorja will have one too.
Sadler ~ COA, Dawson ~ AVO, Marshall ~ public relations, Joe ~ secretary, Dallin ~ president
Bode ~ attorney general, Layla ~ historian, Jorja ~ financial chair, Brenton ~ Vice President

Jorja also came home with the Alta coin. Lately they have been giving out 12 a year, this year they gave out 9. Two people in student government were given one. Jorja and Bode. It's super cool because Mike got this coin his year. This coin will let you get in any Alta event for life. Maybe it's just sporting events, I'm not sure. We've never tried it out. Cool that Mike and Jorja both have one. Maybe we should take Mike's to get engraved like Jorja's. I want to get a picture of both of them with their coins and student government sweaters. I think that would be awesome.
 Jorja's coin

Jorja had a closing social for PLT today. Everyone gets silly awards. She got the award for the person most likely to have a child go to Alta. They divide PLT into families. Jorja was the mom and Luke was the dad. Here is their family.
Gabby, Grace, Russell, Luke, Jorja, Emily, Kate, Chloe
Maysen and I went out to dinner at Waffle Love. It was delicious.
Mike sent me pictures of the new grocery store. I know this looks like just any store, but it is still crazy to me that this giant store is closer to the cabin then the tiny Alpine Market was. Not going to have to worry about packing food up there any more.
Mike and the boys came home today. Bear was sure glad to see them. I was glad to not be in charge of Bear anymore. I did pretty good although one day I asked my dad if Bear could have a play date for a few hours. Bear had a great time running around with Milo, then they slept. Hahaha. Preston got car sick on the way home and threw up out the car window when he was a few streets away. There is now throw-up all over the side of my car. It's pretty gross. They came back late, so we will deal with that tomorrow.

Jorja's Seminary Graduation

Pictures loaded backwards again. Grrrrr. Mike and the boys were at the cabin today. I had to figure out the zoom. I got there extra early and was able to do it. It was stressful for a bit, but it worked! Whew. The bad weather is continuing at the cabin where it actually snowed today. I don't know why I have this next picture, but it makes you wonder how accurate these things are. Several problems. Number one, she's dead. Number 2, she never lived at that address. I think those two problems are enough.
Jorja had her seminary graduation today. She went an hour early to learn the song they wanted all the graduates to sing. My dad came and sat with me. That was nice. Someone came up to him and asked if he remembered him. Apparently they coached baseball together, but I can't remember his name. I didn't get a picture with all of Jorja's Sunday school class, but we did get one with Brenton.

Lot of kids singing
When we got home Jorja had to do an online orientation before she could register at Utah State. I left her alone to do that. I knew she had her last missionary prep course tonight, so I didn't want to bother her. I watched the Jazz/Grizzlies playoff game. Mitchell was out and the Jazz lost. Dang it. It was only game one. Hopefully Mitchell will be back soon. Jazz only lost by 3, so I think they will be fine.
Week 39

I got so mad at Jorja today. My feelings are still really hurt from her ignoring me on my hard day. I talked to her and let her know how hurt I was. I feel she has treated me awful this entire year and I'm just so tired of it. I got super angry when I found out that when she finished her orientation she stayed in her room, talked to Riley and ordered swimsuits. She didn't even come out and talk to me. I was just furious.

Turboduck

Bear does not help me exercise. He likes to get under my feet and legs and it is quite annoying. Finally I got the big blue ball that he is scared of out and he left me alone. I played with him for a long time after though. Mike saw a break in the weather and the boys hurried out to the lake. They spent a few hours there and had a great time. Lucky because it ended up raining the rest of the days. Mike has named the jetski "Turboduck" The boys took the tube out with the jet ski. They all took turns. Stockton drove and told me that he "rubber ducky rodeo'd" Dad off the tube. Hahaha. Glad they are having fun. Sounds like they all loved it.

Jorja was supposed to go to the Lantern Festival today. She has wanted to go to this for years. She had tickets this fall, but ended up getting quarantined. Well, while she was at work they cancelled the lantern festival again. They moved it because of winds today. Jorja works the day they moved it to, so hopefully she can get it off. Her friends all ended up playing games. Jorja was quite proud when she earned $760,000 in one turn on Cover My Assets.

Last Customer

Jorja worked all morning at Chick-Fil-A. Mike took Stockton and Preston up to the cabin today. They were able to see her on their way out. Look how adorable she looks!

Jorja

Mike took the jet ski up to the cabin. He had dreams of playing on the jet ski the entire weekend. It's not looking too great for that. A downpour happened right after they got inside the cabin. The weather app says it will probably rain all week. Dang it! Still, it's beautiful there.
Riley took Jorja on a date somewhere to break things. They were supposed to have their pep rally today, but it got moved to Monday because they were worried it would rain. Maysen and I stayed home with Bear. He was not to thrilled to be left behind. We were thinking the boys wouldn't be at the cabin at all so we decided the best thing to do was to have Bear stay here. This is where he stayed many hours. Waiting for Mike to walk through the garage door. Bear loves Mike so much.
Bear
Mike texted me and said that he was the last customer at the Alpine Market. They closed the store after him. They are opening the new store tomorrow. I told him he should try and be the first customer there too. He did not agree. I watched the Warriors/Grizzlies play in game today. Grizzlies won in overtime. Wow! Jazz will be playing the Grizzlies in the first round of the playoffs. Should be fun!

25 Years is a Long Time

Jorja got two more graduation cords today. The yellow one if for having a high gpa and the blue one if a bi-literacy cord. Didn't expect that but it's pretty cool. Jorja also got her second covid shot today, so she is fully vaccinated now.

Jorja

There was a duck on our house today

Today was a hard day. I expected that, but I didn't expect how hurt I would get. Jorja had a busy day. School, test after school, youth activity and senior sunset. I got a text from her around 3:00 that said she was going to dutch bros but would be back in time to take her test then go to the youth activity. I have no idea why, but I thought she was going to Dutch Bros for me. I didn't expect it and thought it was really sweet. I have no idea why I thought she would go for me, but I did. She knows I love hot chocolate and this is exactly the kind of thing Jorja does. She likes to drop off Dutch Bros or Swig if people are sad or have had a hard day. Well, I waited and waited and was getting anxious that I wouldn't get the things I wanted to done, but I didn't want to miss Jorja. I wanted to run to the store and pick up flowers and spend some time at my mom's grave before the youth activity. I was running out of time so I checked Find My Friends. It showed she was at Riley's house. My heart sank and I was so sad. She had forgotten about me and was just with Riley for the millionth time. I just felt so alone. I saw Jorja at the youth event, but she didn't even spend one single second of her day with me. I was unbelievably hurt. My other kids didn't go bring me something, but they were at least here during the day, plus that isn't something they generally do. Jorja does it for everybody.... except me. I left the house, picked up flowers and stopped at my mom's grave. I laid down there, cried and fell asleep. I had my alarm set, but I got a call from my dad waking me up. He said, "I'm at the dog park, where are you?" I told him I was at Mom's grave. Anyway, I left the cemetery in time to get to the activity Preston and Mike had put together.
Preston and Mike have been working on a real life Among Us game. They had several different tasks, ways to make people imposters or crew members, video cameras, all sorts of things. The kids were in pairs with a rubber band around their ankles. I was in the medic room where we had operation and golf. I have only heard good things about this activity, the kids seemed to really like it. It's hard to tell how it is going when you are stuck in one room. I'm glad this activity is over and that everyone had a fun time. Preston's activity was a hit! Jorja left the activity and went to her senior sunset activity. She finished playing games at Luke Hillstead's house.
Dead crew members...Eliza & Georgia... I think some Horoba boys

These girls were funny walking home. Not sure who everybody is, but I think the Bingham twins are on the right.
We cleaned up and headed home. There was a package waiting for me on our porch. I couldn't believe it. It was perfect. It made me feel much better. I have no idea who did this. My best guess right now is Jack's mom. I don't think many people knew about my day, but his mom did. Anyway, it was super sweet and I loved it.
Preston
Stockton and I stayed up late to figure out his schedule. He gets to register tomorrow. We have kind of a plan, but we don't know if it will work. Jorja came home at 12:30, we let her have a later curfew today. She saw Stockton and I working on his schedule. She asked when she gets to register. I kind of paused and said that it would be in a few days. We asked her if she was still planning on going on a mission and she said she didn't know. She thought for sure she was going to go until she talked to us and had Dad give her a blessing. So, we will see what she ends up doing.

Bottom Braces

Mike finally got to pick up his jet ski today. While he was waiting patiently a police officer stood right over him and started questioning him. The employees told the police officer Mike wasn't who they wanted and they pointed to some guy in a hoodie who had just left. The guy was tackled right against the window Mike was sitting at. Okay. Mike is quite pleased with his purchase and can't wait to try it out.
Preston
Preston got bottom braces today. He was a trooper. We also bought him a season pass to Lagoon. He has 8th grade Lagoon day on Tuesday so we figured we would buy him a season pass instead of a ticket for that day. Jack also has a season pass, which highly influenced our decision. This is Preston's picture for his Lagoon pass. How awesome that we can upload it at home and the pass his on his phone?

Preston
Jorja worked at Chick-Fil-A today. Stockton made dinner. Dani and Jack were over too. We made 'school pizza'. It turned out pretty good. Making dinners with the kids has been a lot of fun.

Ghostbuster

I took Stockton to the dermatologist in Bountiful today. In and out, no one got hurt. Stockton wanted to get Chick-Fil-A after. We looked up the nearest Chick in our phones and headed there. We went to this one specifically because the dining room was open. We walked in and were met by a worker saying the store was closed. I guess there was a broken water pipe somewhere. The drive thru wasn't even open. So, we went to Jorja's Chick and called it good.

I made soup with Maysen and it was so, so good. It was easy too. Jorja had her last day at the country club today. When she came home she told us that she has decided to go on a mission before college. She asked Mike for a priesthood blessing. We talked to her for a long time about mission/college stuff.

Two things that are random. I have a problem with closing tabs, guess 254 were open today. Also, I was so excited when I heard Ghostbuster cereal was coming out. I remember eating it at my grandparents condo in St. George over Spring Break when I was little. It was so good. My dad's favorite. Well, this cereal is nothing like the old cereal. It is shockingly similar to the Pokemon cereal. Pretty lame.
