Mike ordered a car cover for Jorja's bug. Becky asked if Mike and I would want to go to a play with them at Hale Center Theater next week. That will be fun! Mike took Preston to Bridger Lake today. I won't be able to contact them until Sunday. Hope they have fun!

Jorja called me today while I was at work. She was crying. She had set up an appointment with the mission therapist before she even left home. She said she knew she was going to need it. She is really struggling. One of the girls in her MTC group is kind of mean to her. That has been hard. It is just a lot and Jorja has such a hard time being out of contact with me. The therapist gave her permission to call/text me whenever she needed to while she is at the MTC. I'm so thankful they did that. Jorja said she is going to try not to call, but she will text me tomorrow. Jorja always has such a hard time when she starts a new, scary thing. Then she always kills it! She is so brave. I miss her.

Mike and I called the MTC and got permission to drop off Jorja's passport. The passport is considered an essential item, so we were allowed. We also dropped off a blanket, because Jorja was very cold. One the way home we stopped at a store that only sold cream puffs. They were very good.

Preston's Braces are OFF!

Preston got his braces off today! Woohoo! Always good to be done with that part of your life. Not fun getting them off though. I remember how bad that hurt. I was tempted to stop the orthodontist and ask if I could just keep them on. Glad it is over and his teeth look great!

One of my favorite pictures of Jorja is the picture I took of her in the car after she got her braces off. It is still the icon on my phone for her. I asked Preston to let me take a picture of him with his braces off. This is the result.

I ordered Jorja a Chinese CTR ring with Joshua 1:9 on it. Just the reference, not the entire verse. Joshua 1:9 is what she picked for her missionary plaque scripture. "Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest."

Stockton found out today that he is not allowed to compete in the Goldwater scholarship because he already needed to be doing a research project. He texted me, "You've been recommended as someone who should apply for this.... Oh wait, you don't fit the requirements." That is disappointing, but at least he found out at this stage and not after he jumped through a ton of hoops. Anyway, here is a picture of Stockton and Alyssa riding their bikes in the dark in the rain. I'm pretty sure they were coming back from their Calculus 3 class. They signed up for an online Monday night class, only to find out it has now been switched to an in-person class at the library. Lame! But they are good sports, which is why they are riding bicycles.

Preston had to make a how-to video for his Chinese class. There are a lot of videos on my phone of the process, but I'll just show this short clip of the end. Haha. Love that boy!

Hammock, Dinosaurs and a Farewell

We gave Stockton a two person hammock when we came back from Costa Rica. It was called a matrimonial hammock and Mike thought that was hilarious. Stockton wanted to hang it up in their living room. They don't have any furniture. Mike wanted to come up and help him. I like any excuse to see them. Mike has a drill that will drill into concrete. He brought that up and they were able to get the hammock hung no problem. My pictures are all out of order, but thems the breaks.

Jorja went to Hannah's farewell in Southern Idaho. Emily was her companion for the day. Jorja loved seeing her friends. Lots of ambassadors were there. She had a great time.
