We were pretty late getting to bed tonight. Mike asked Stockton to say the prayer. He didn't want to. Mike said the prayer. Among other things, he mentioned how we were thankful for the opportunity to talk to Him and to please help us want to pray more. Please help us obey our parents. He went on for a bit and then said, "We are thankful for vegetables." It was hard to hold it together during the prayer. Stockton was laughing and said, "That didn't even make any sense!" Mike said, "If you think you can do better you are welcome to try." Mike told me he had planned to go on for about ten minutes, but had to stop because he would have started laughing. Was it the most reverent prayer? No. Memorable? Absolutely.
