On the Boot

Today is Mother's Day! That is always a fun day for me. Haha. Actually for years and years it was really hard, but this year I wasn't sad. That's good. Jorja is in Italy today. She left me the sweetest note. I loved seeing her face on the boot. This is from the 'Find My Friends' app. She sure sounds like she has been having a lot of fun with Kinley and Maya. The pictures look that way too. I'm glad she gets this experience. How amazing!

The Relief Society had a full on lunch for Mother's Day. I wish I had taken a picture of the amazing crepe cake Chantale made. It was so good and looked awesome! I was also able to get a printout of Jorja's baptism certificate and got that sent to her. I found a primary graduation certificate too. Hopefully that is all she will need for her visa.
Today was a lot of fun. We had sandwiches with homemade bread for dinner. So good! The kids gave me a game on the Oculus. Acron: Attack of the Squirrels. It is so funny! One person plays as a tree and the rest of us play as squirrels on our phones. The squirrels try to steal all of the acorns. The tree throws things at the squirrels and tries to catch them and throw them. It was such a good time. We also watched Free Guy and played Catan. While we were playing Stockton said, "Mom, if you give me all your cards I will never leave the church." I immediately handed him all of my cards. It was funny. Stockton said he didn't think that would work. Haha. Nice I don't have to worry about Stockton anymore! Hahaha
I missed Jorja today but loved having the rest of my kids home with me. Today was such a fun day. I love my family.

My Baby is Driving!

Mike took Preston driving today. I can't believe that my baby is old enough to drive. He is getting tall too. He is taller than me and it is weird.

I opened up the laundry and found this. I washed an entire load of laundry with a 3/4 full laundry soap jug. It is now empty and the clothes smell STRONG of laundry soap. Not my finest hour.

Jorja had a layover in London and now has made it to Maya's house in Italy. I hope she has a fun week! She sounds exhausted right now.

Headed to Italy

I worked today. I was asked to do an AP test in the morning and then my regular work. I was doing an accommodated test and only had one student. Usually those go pretty fast. This one did not. I ended up spending five hours on that test. They decided to have me get the AP pay instead of my regular work day pay, since I did no regular work. That means more money for me, so I'm okay with that. Also, I found out today that there will be no more late start on Tuesdays. That's too bad. It is nice to have that to schedule ortho appointments and things like that. Plus, it is nice to look forward to. Instead they are going to have an early out day on Friday. That seems like a bad idea. The schools have been struggling with attendance since covid, I don't think this is going to help.

Mike took Jorja to the airport. They were driving by the church when one of them noticed that Bear was following them! Haha He chased the car for two streets before they noticed him. They got him in the car and he was coming with. Jorja remembered that she forgot her covid card, so they turned back and got that and dropped Bear off. Silly puppy. Jorja also got a message that she needs a baptism certificate for her visa papers. I'll have to try and find that. Jorja was able to meet Maya and Kinley at the airport. They are all headed to Maya's house in Italy! What an adventure!
