Maysen met with the counselor to see if she could get into computer tech her third trimester. She had wanted clothing, but not enough people signed up, so they are not offering it at all. Maysen ended up being a teachers aide for her counselor. Which is fine. We found out that her school offers computer tech. She needs to take that either 9th grade year or 10th grade year. If she takes computer tech this year, then she won't need to next year. The best thing about not taking it next year is that she will have more options once she reaches the high school.
Anyway, the counselor was able to switch her schedule, so that is good. The counselor also talked to Maysen about lunch. She offered Maysen to spend her lunch time in the counselor's office where she could read or play games (chess) with another boy who eats his lunch there. Currently Maysen has been eating lunch by herself. She doesn't mind too much, but once in awhile it bothers her. She really doesn't like the chaos of the lunch room. I hope this will work out well for her. I'm excited to hear about her day tomorrow!
