Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a pretty low-key Thanksgiving. Yesterday I made cranberry sauce and banana cream pies, so today I just needed to make the rolls. I made them while I talked to Stockton. I talked to him for almost FIVE hours! It was the best! Some wonderful ward members picked Stockton and Elder Kelly up and shared their Thanksgiving dinner with them. That made me so happy!

We had Thanksgiving dinner at Steve and Shannon's house. It was our family, Steve's family, Shannon's mom and two nieces. Erica and their nephew Max were on the computer for a bit talking to their families from the mission field. I didn't take many pictures, but I love this picture of Jorja and Weston. They look so much alike here! Weston does look like Waldo though...must be the hat.

The only other picture I got was of Preston. His belly was poking up a little, so I pulled his shirt down before I snapped the picture. Preston was too fast for me and pulled it up ridiculously high. Weirdo.

We played games after dinner until it was time to go to Frozen 2. We met Sherry and her family there. Only got to connect with them for a second, but at least it was something! Maysen spent Thanksgiving in Logan. I hope she was happy. She's not a fan of big meals.

The Medlock's sent me this picture tonight and made me so happy! After dinner Stockton and Elder Kelly helped the Medlock's set up their Christmas tree. (I have a hard time referring to Stockton as Elder Smith.....so I'm not going to worry about it. He will always be Stockton to me.)

Stockton Videos

Jorja got to go to an elementary school for PLT today. She missed on Wednesday, so she was pretty excited to go today. It was her first time. This morning she couldn't find her PLT jersey anywhere. She had it yesterday for the yearbook picture, but could not find it. She was so sad and embarrassed. She went to school and checked the field house (where the pictures were taken) and she checked the lost and found in the office. It wasn't there. She was panicking. I checked my car, her bedroom and then the guest room. I knelt down to pray, stood up and two seconds later found her jersey. It was in her backpack. She had checked there, but it was in the backpack sleeve part. Anyway, I was able to get it to her before she needed it. Thank heavens!

Jorja had a great time at the school. They had a bit of time before their next class, so they went to Einsteins Bagels. Jorja had a cookie and half a bagel. She got so sick. She started texting me in physics class that she thought she was going to throw up. She was begging me to let her come home. So, she missed Chinese again. Jorja came home, took medicine and fell right asleep. She slept for three hours before I got her up so she could go to work. After work she had a sleepover with the student government girls. I know she checked out of school and then I let her go to a sleepover, but that is how things worked out today.

Maysen came down today. She is here for Preston's birthday on Sunday and he is so happy about that.

I was randomly texted videos of Stockton and it was AWESOME! I love getting things like this! Stockton looks so happy. He has always been great with kids. I love him!

Pretty Blue Eyed Girl

I got to talk to Stockton today!!! He is in another bike area, but this area is crazy big. It takes them two hours to bike to one of the ward meeting houses they are supposed to go to. Both Elder Kelly and Stockton got flat tires on a road where they had no cell service. Stockton said his brake exploded too. I asked him, again, if he wanted to get another bike. He said he only uses one brake anyway, so it should be fine. Haha. Both Stockton and Elder Kelly are new to this area, so they are trying their best to figure things out. I was on the phone with Stockton when they were looking up to see how far away their dinner appointment was. 45 minutes to bike. Which is google maps minutes, it would take them an hour at least. Luckily they texted the family and were able to get them to pick them up. This is going to be interesting. Stockton and Elder Kelly are also coming in here after Sister Missionaries have been here. They said their mission book was the worst! They labeled people as 'Pretty Blue Eyed Girl' and 'House Across from the Horses'. Hahaha. Made me laugh.

Heather and I met up with Jordyn at her new house! It was the first time we were able to see it, and it is adorable!!! It was super quick to be there, but worth it. Man do I wish Heather was coming on this trip, but it will be SO fun to have Jordyn there!

Scones and Cookies

Mike taught my lesson in Sunday school. He taught his lesson about resiliency that I love. It went great! I have a hard class. Mike is a fantastic teacher. I love watching him teach.

We had family dinner at Matt and Sam's today. Sam had to go to the hospital and stay over night this past week, but today she was doing okay. Hopefully baby Kaylee will stay in there for a long time! I think Sam is 25 weeks along now. Maybe Kaylee will be born on my birthday? I thought there was a chance she would be born on Stockton's birthday, but she would have had to come early. Now there is no chance because they won't let Sam go longer than 34 weeks. So mine is looking like a real possibility. Stockton would be SO MAD! Haha! The other three kids share a birthday with a first cousin. This was probably his last chance. He feels left out. Hahaha. Maysen was born on Taylor's third birthday. Lincoln was born on Jorja's third birthday. Preston was born on Erica's tenth birthday. Would have been cool to have Kaylee born on Stockton's twentieth birthday. Wow! I can't believe Stockton is almost twenty!!!

Jorja had Matt's three oldest kids wrapped around her finger most of the night. I wanted to get a picture of all of them playing on phones because it was so funny! Too bad Greg had my phone. These kids adore Jorja. So, so cute!

Right as we were leaving my dad's house I got a text from a random number with this picture! They said, "Just spent the afternoon with the young men going over people in our ward they can visit! They are awesome!!" Turns out this text was from the Relief Society president in the Anamax Ward. Brother Kelly's mom texted me and asked some information about Stockton. We texted back and forth for a bit. How fun! Brother Kelly is from northern Virginia. This was the first time I was able to see these two together. I loved it! So happy she sent this to us.
Elder Kelly and Elder Smith

Maysen went straight back to Utah State from family dinner. She is coming back next Friday though! She wants to be here for Preston's birthday. He is SO HAPPY about that! Jorja was able to get three of the junior class officers to come over and make cookies. They made pumpkin chocolate chip. Her idea was for them to be thinking about someone who could use a little pick me up. They were on the lookout during this week. It was awesome to hear them talking about who would benefit from the cookies. They really took it seriously. They were able to make eight plates and wrote a nice note to each of the kids. It went so well they are planning on doing this every other week. Although they are going to start earlier. They didn't get home until late, late, late. Too bad Jorja was sick almost her entire sophomore year. She would have loved doing this last year too.

Transfered!

Stockton called me today and let me know he has been transferred! He is going to the Tucson South area and his new companion will be Elder Kelly. Stockton has been in this area since May, so this will be a change. A good one though. I hope, hope, hope, hope, hope it is where my roommate Nikki is. That would be amazing! I'm pretty sure it is the same area, but chances are slim it is the same district.

Jorja had a student government party today. Jorja, Jessie and Seurette dressed up as 'Ice, Ice, Baby'. Haha! Sounded like she had a great time.
While Jorja was there she got asked to the Winters dance. I was gone when this happened. I went with Amber and Ashley to make lots of dinners. Megan signed up to go with them, but ended up going out of town. She asked if I would go and give her half of the dinners. I got to keep the other half and she paid for everything. Sounds like an excellent deal to me! Anyway, Jorja was asked to the dance by Ben. The same Ben she thought was killed by a spider when she got her wisdom teeth out. She's pretty excited about going with Ben. She became even more excited when she found out his two friends asked Hailey and Emily. She's looking forward to this one!
