Pictures

Yearbook pictures for different groups were taken today. Jorja got her picture taken for student government and National Honor Society. They even had her do a makeup picture for PLT which was yesterday. I don't think she remembered to get a headshot for that, so we'll see what happens.

Jorja did not feel well today. She started texting me a little before 9:00 about how she didn't feel good. She tried to stay, but I ended up coming to get her a little before 11:00. She wanted to go to her AP History class one more time to decide if she should stick with it. She texted me during the class saying she was going to transfer. I told her to leave and go to the counselor's office. She sits in the back of the class, so it wasn't obvious. She left and went to the class she is transferring into to get the new teacher to sign it. Jorja said she felt such peace when she walked in there, she knew this was the right decision. Hope it works out better!

Jorja slept most of the day, but wanted to go to the marching band performance tonight. One of her friends is in it and has worked really hard. She went to that with her friend Kelsey. She even made a poster.

No Grade Kids

Jorja got to miss ballroom, lunch and seminary to help with the Special Olympics Alta was putting on for the elementary schools. Jorja had a great time. The kids liked to chase Jorja around and hit her with pool noodles. They would laugh because none of Jorja's friends would help her because they were too busy laughing at her.

Stockton stayed after school for the last National Honor Society meeting. They had a slide show. Stockton said it ended up being a power point presentation that he could tell was put together at the last minute. Mrs. Pugmire is in charge of NHS and was doing the slideshow. She is also Jorja's English teacher. Mrs. Pugmire had a huge picture of Jorja come up and said, "These are some of our 'No Grade' students" Hahahahahahaha!!!!!!! All the National Honor Students think Jorja is a slacker. Nevermind that she has a 4.0. Stockton laughed and laughed. He found it much more amusing than Jorja did!

I took Jorja and Preston to a Chinese event today. Jorja is .3% away from an A in Chinese, this is extra credit. A Chinese dance company is touring the United States. It was long, but pretty cool. The worst thing about it was finding the place. I hate driving to places that are new to me. As we were driving, Evan texted Jorja and said I cut them off! WHAT? I don't cut anyone off, ever! He then proceeded to text her about everything I did. 'Your blinker is on too long.' 'Now it's off.' 'Speed up!' That was a little unnerving.

This pickle dance description made me laugh.

Jorja went to elementary school with Ariel. She now goes to Corner Canyon High School. It was fun to run into her.

Looks like Jorja got some sun during the Special Olympics. She will be feeling that tomorrow!

Rachel Sighting!

Rachel came into town for a super quick trip.  She came into town for her brother and one of her friends.  She didn't think she would get a chance to see us, but I had Eve's handprints back.  Rachel let me know she could see me today and I drove up to Bountiful to meet her.  I called Ange last night to see if she wanted to come with me.  Ange dropped everything and came with us.  On our way up, Sam randomly called Rachel to ask her a question.  Rachel let her know she was in Bountiful.  Sam dropped everything and came up to see Rachel as well. We all love her so much!  It was a short, chaotic trip, but so nice to visit with her.  I can't wait to find out where Brett and Rachel are going next! I hope it's Utah!  If not Utah, I hope it's New Mexico.  Mostly I'm crossing my fingers for Utah.

I took Preston to diving today.  Mike took Stockton to the National Honor Society induction meeting tonight.  Last year Stockton came straight from diving.  He did not want to do that again.  Luckily we were able to work around it.

BYU Tour

Maysen and I took a tour of the BYU campus.  They took us around in golf carts.  It was great.  We saw Emily Liu.  She walked right up to the golf cart.  She was leaving the testing center.  We just looked at the outside of the buildings except the library.  I saw this poster there and laughed.  Now I think it's weird I only took a picture of the poster and no pictures of Maysen.
After the tour we hurried over to Erica's dorm room.  There were 'Happy Birthday' signs all over for Erica.  It was great!  I am annoyed that I didn't get a picture of Maysen and Erica together!
Maysen and I went back to the pool to pick up Stockton from diving. We had to hurry back so we could make it in time for the NHS induction ceremony.  They kids were pretty tired by the time they got home.
