Emily's Farewell

Jorja had two farewells to go to today. Emily's up in the Ogden area, and Caleb at our building. Emily's was first and at 9:00, so Jorja left early to head down there. Emily has sure been a great friend for Jorja. She was able to make it back in time to go to Caleb's farewell. He is one of her high school friends. Glad she was able to make it to both.

Classroom Safe

Jorja and a few of her friends headed to the canyon to take pictures. I helped Jorja get ready for the day. It was going to be a long one. Mike made cinnamon rolls for Jorja to take, we got her work stuff ready and then found her hippie costume so she could go to her PLT party after work.

Jorja worked for eight hours and then headed to her PLT party. She called us on the way. She did not want to go. She hates parties. I told her to go anyway. She was there for one minute when she texted 'This is so awkward" "I hate parties" I told her to give it a chance and find Jaren. About five minutes later she texted "I'm fine now I moved seats. I'm by Jaren." There are some people that calm Jorja just with their presence. I love those people. Jaren is one of them. Jorja ended up having a great time.

On a completely unrelated note. I saw these at the store. Who would market this candy as 'classroom safe'? There are going to be people that believe this. What about the people allergic to milk or eggs? Just in my family that is Larkin, Blake and Skye. I actually love Sixlets, but this packaging is awful.

Maysen is TWENTY-TWO

Mike was excited to get a picture of his jeep getting 200,000 miles. We got this jeep when I was pregnant with Stockton. The pictures are cool, but wow his jeep is dirty. Also, he took these pictures while going 50 mph!!! What the heck!
Mike and I drove up to Logan to take Maysen out to dinner. We wanted to get her car registered too. She met us at Jiffy Lube. Too bad their emission testing thing was down. They said it would be up tomorrow at 9:00. That doesn't do us much good. Maysen gets to figure out how to do this grown up thing. Fun. Anyway, hanging out with Maysen was great. We went to dinner at Angie's. Maysen opened up her car shield thing and nice mittens for sledding. We went grocery shopping and then Mike worked on Maysen's computer for a bit. I'm not sure everything he was doing, but I'm pretty sure he got her to be able to play Minecraft with Preston. We drove two cars to this cute little shop called Sweet Scrolls, or something like that. We shared an ice-cream and it was delicious. Then we gave Maysen a hug and drove home. Man I miss that girl.

Today was Alta's last home football game. Jorja went with Hailey, Emily and Allison. She had a great time. She was still gone when we got home. She was hanging out at Hailey's house. She came home as soon as we told her we were home. I'm glad she was able to spend time with these girls. She really wanted to go to a football game with them...and was excited to get a front row spot.

Good-bye Friends

Preston went from four hours of math to the dentist. So, he's having a fantastic summer so far. Jorja studied for her online class again and caught up on sleep. She spent today saying good-bye to friends. She went with Hailey and Emily to Zupas and Michaels. She asked me if I knew where her overalls were and before I could answer she asked,"Are they in the freezer?" Yep! They were. Haha. Jorja got stuff at Michaels to make a Jorja doll. She is going to give it to Kelsey to take to student government camp since she can't be there. Haha.

We bought new bedding for Maysen and Jorja. Jorja was still in a crib when I bought her bedding last time. Jorja's stuff came on Monday, but Maysen's didn't arrive until today. Jorja's looks just like Maysen's, but she picked green. I hope they like it.

Jorja met Brynlee and Chloee around dinner time. They hung out in Riverton for awhile. Jorja met some of their friends and seemed to have a great time.

Jorja went straight from Brynlee and Chloee to pick up Spencer after work. They went to Leatherby's and got home later then I would have liked them to. I was exhausted, so I fell asleep before she got home. Mike knows I hate doing that. So, he was the one that was texting her asking where she was and telling her she needed to come home. Once she came inside, she woke me up and we talked for a few hours. The nice thing was, I wasn't annoyed or upset because I hadn't been waiting for her. It was nice to have Mike be the bad guy for once, and I got to just listen to all her stories. I liked that.

Last Day of School

Today was Jorja's last real day of school. It was her last day in student government for this year and that made her sad. She has loved student government, especially the girls.

Jorja found out today that she gets to carry the flags at graduation. The Las Scelles team usually does that, but I guess they aren't going to have a team next year. That was weird. I remember them when I went to Alta. Anyway, they asked student government to volunteer. Of course Jorja was all over that. She loves anything to do with student government. She was also planning on going to graduation anyway. Conner is speaking and many of her friends are graduating. Now she has a reason to go instead of just because she wanted to. She also gets to ride the bus, which makes me happy. I was nervous letting her drive that far. Graduation will be at UVU down in Orem. Driving South on the freeway makes me more nervous than driving North. Lots of skinny lanes and construction.

I had to check Jorja out of school for an eye appointment. We really need to get her a new prescription before she goes to Taiwan. Today was the first day we could go where we met the year mark for insurance. Jorja has been complaining about her eyes for a couple of months. She says she can't see anything. So, when the doctor came in and looked at the preliminary results from the machine, he said, "It looks like your eyes haven't changed much." Jorja looked at me and mouthed, "He's wrong." The doctor then began to do a more indepth examination. Soon he said, "Wow, I was wrong. They have changed a lot." One eye went from a -2.5 to a -3.0, the other from a -2.25 to a -2.75 I think. No wonder Jorja has been struggling with her school work. I wish her eyes didn't change so fast.

Jorja had to work today. 5:00 until close. She got home at 11:30. When she works that long she gets one thirty minute break. Well, they asked her to take her break at 5:01. Ridiculous. They don't like the kids taking breaks when it gets close to closing because there is a ton of stuff to do, but come on!
