Release the Frogs!

I had my day pretty much planned out.  I knew I would need to pick up the kids from their camps at 2:30.  I decided to double check the time. I looked up Stockton's first.  Yep, 2:30.  I almost didn't look up Jorja's, thinking I was ridiculous.  I looked it up anyway.  I'm glad I did.  I needed to pick her up at 12:00!  Yikes!  That would have been so sad if my little Porge was waiting for me for 2 1/2 hours!  Right as I realized that Josh's mom called me.  She told me they were having a diving exhibition at 1:00.  I ended up changing all my plans.  Everything worked out okay, I just didn't get as much done on the house as I hoped.  Sorry about that Matt & Sam!

Preston and I picked up Maysen from her last day of her internship at Covenant.  Sam did such a great job with her.  Maysen got to Skype with Stephanie Black today.  Maysen enjoyed that a lot.  Sam said Stephanie did a really great job talking with Maysen.  Yay!  Maysen, Preston and I went out to lunch before we headed to BYU to pick up the kids.  Our first stop was Jorja.  Preston was SO EXCITED to see her!

Our next stop was to watch Stockton dive.  Jorja wasn't very excited about that.  She said she just wanted to get home.  She should be tired. She texted me last night saying she was going to bed at 1:42 am.  Good think she'll get lots of time to sleep while we are driving in the next few weeks.  It was fun to watch Stockton dive.  I didn't get any great pictures of him though.

Josh hurt his shoulder and couldn't dive.  His mom had come down anyway.  They decided to leave early.  (They moved on Wednesday, so things are crazy right now for them.  Also, it didn't help that the people trashed the house after they bought it.  Broke a lot of things!  I guess the people were going through a nasty divorce.  Josh's family didn't have anything to do with it, so I don't know why the lady thought destroying everything would be a good idea.)  Anyway, I went back with Josh to his room and picked up Stockton's stuff.  That way we were able to leave right from the pool.

Mike was working on the frog pond when we got home.  He wanted to reroute a sprinkler this morning.  He was able to get it done though. The pond isn't finished, but it is looking good so far.  At least it is to a point that the kids could release their frogs and tadpoles in there.  I hope they are still there when we get home!

We left WAY behind schedule.  We couldn't find Maysen's temple recommend.  Brother Tanner was so nice to run to the church and interview her so she could get a new one.  Lots of little things like that added up and we weren't able to leave until 10:00.  Not the early start we were looking for, but at least we are on our way!

Doesn't Mike look like he is excited to drive across the country?  The kids slept as we drove.  We only got as far as Evanston, Wyoming.  We have a long day of driving ahead of us tomorrow!

Sick Little Preston

This morning I noticed I had a text from Jorja.  Rose has a phone, so Jorja texts me every night.  Judging by the time I receive those texts, she has been staying up pretty late.  I'm always asleep before they come.  Anyway, she asked me to bring her a blanket and sunburn lotion.  Stockton texted me this morning and told me that every time he sees Jorja she seems to be having a really good time.  I'm so glad!

I got up just in time to see Preston run to the bathroom so he could throw up.  With Stockton and Jorja gone, Preston has been sleeping in the guest room.  I was glad he was close to us.  Preston threw up all day long.  He was quite miserable.  I needed to go to BYU for Jorja.  Mike wasn't able to come home from work.  He had meetings and is a little worried about leaving work for three weeks.  Preston said he would be okay if the tablet was working.  I couldn't get it to work, but I was able to download Geometry Dash on Maysen's iPad Mini.  Preston was really happy with that and said he would be fine while I was gone.  I'm glad he is growing up, but sad about it at the same time.

First I stopped and picked up Maysen from Covenant.  Maysen and I went and found Jorja.  She wanted the blanket because she has been cold at night.  It was great to see her, even if it was only for a minute.

I was glad to get back to Preston.  He spent his time while I was gone playing Geometry Dash and throwing up.  Poor little guy.  I did manage to beat Stereo Madness (the first level).  Stockton will be proud.

I got this picture from Stockton.  He says he is in the back.  Josh is the one taking the picture.  Still not what I was looking for.

Mike went and got a haircut and a tetanus shot today.  Maysen is happy with him.  His little girl still has him wrapped around her finger.

BYU Sports Camp

I took Stockton, Josh and Jorja down to BYU for different sports camps.  Jorja was a little nervous last night and asked Mike to give her a father's blessing.  She felt more calm after that and has just been excited today.  It took me a bit to find the right place at the football stadium to check them in.  There they got their lanyards, shirts, bag and maps.  Their room building and room number was printed on their lanyard.  I dropped Josh and Stockton off first.  I let them off in front of their building.  They seemed fine not having me walk them in.  I asked Stockton before we left if I should take my big camera, or if he would take pictures and text them to me.  He wanted to take the picture.  I meant to take one of him and Josh before they walked away.  I forgot. Stockton didn't send me one, but at least he sent me one of Jorja and Rose.

Rose is Jorja's roommate for the week.  She is from Washington.  She is a pitcher and has been playing softball for six years.  She seems really nice.  I met her and her parents.  I was really relieved once I met Rose. I think she will get along great with Jorja.  The girls sent me a picture tonight.  Yep.  They're going to have fun!

Stockton sent me this picture.  Later Jorja told me it was creepy because Stockton had one of his friends take the picture.  Jorja didn't know him.  I'm guessing it was Gage.

Preston had his last dive/swim meet.  I was asked to judge this time. What!?!  Mike said I had been around diving enough that I would be able to do it.  I threw out a couple of sevens along the way, because I could.  It was fun, but I like adding up the scores better.  Not as much pressure doing that.

Preston did great during his swim meet.  He got 10 seconds off of his best time on both freestyle and backstroke.  Nice work Preston!
