Uchtdorf

Stockton had a really cool experience today. Elder Uchtdorf met with the missionaries in his mission. Super cool! He was in town for a great-grandbaby blessing. He met with the missionaries while he was here. That must have been amazing.

Mike and I went to Aimee & Jeff's wedding. Aimee is Cori's daughter. They got married in Lehi at a cool castle. The wedding was super nice. We got all dressed up for it, but neglected to take any pictures. Whoops.

Church Magazines

I took Maysen down to Salt Lake for an informational meeting about working for the church magazines. They offer one internship each summer and one each fall. It is super competitive, but she is going to go for it. I'm so proud of her! Look how beautiful she looks. She's the best!

Chief Ouray

It was history day at Preston's school. Mike and I went down there to see Preston's presentation. He made a website and had information about Chief Ouray. He did such a great job. His teachers told us how impressed they were with him. I guess they asked the students to use a certain program and it didn't work very well at all, especially the layout. Preston figured out workarounds and made his look much better than the program was letting them. Haha. That's my boy!

I went to book club at Stephanie Waddoup's house. The book was Atomic Habits. I had tried to buy it awhile ago, but I guess I only got the Cliff's Notes version. Whoops. I talked to Javita a long time after it was over. Sounds like things are looking really well for Damian.

I drove up to Logan today to bring Maysen home. We had her car because of using it to take people to the cabin. Maysen and I checked out the new pizza place by her apartment. She liked it so much she decided this is where she would like her graduation dinner. It was very yummy.

Orientation

Jorja had freshman orientation today. She saw my dad and Max there. That was crazy. Not that they were there, but that Max will be in high school next year. Jorja went out to eat after with student government. She came home pretty happy.

Seminary

Today is the first day of the second semester. Jorja ended up getting all As with two A-. Math and physics. Not bad. Jorja didn't like her seminary teacher last semester. Stockton had the same teacher his senior year and didn't like him either. I heard about him a lot. A few weeks ago when I had to check Jorja out because she was sick, I was talking to the seminary secretary. I asked her if they would switch teachers or try and keep them with the same ones. She said they would try and keep them with the same teacher unless they were asked differently. I asked her if she could move Jorja. She said no problem and that she was working on the class lists right then. Welp, Jorja got the same teacher. She texted me in a panic about it. I tried and tried to call, but no one would pick up the phone. Anyways, I eventually got through and was able to get Jorja moved to a different class. Two of Jorja's really good friends are in her old class this semester, but Jorja said she just couldn't do it. Spencer, her ex boyfriend, is also in the class. I think it would be super annoying for her to be in seminary with him. Maybe another class, but not seminary. After all, he broke up with her because he 'had a prompting'. That is all well and good, but was the prompting for him to ghost her all summer? I think it would be really annoying for Jorja to have to listen to him being all righteous, knowing that he wasn't kind to her at all.

Anyway, for the youth activity tonight they went iceskating. Jorja texted me to let me know she lost Preston. Ahhh! I asked her if they were at the rink. She never answered. Losing him at the rink is one thing. Losing him before they got there would be another. She just couldn't find him. He was with Darius. They both came back with sore feet and asked if they could take ice skating lessons in the summer. Haha.

Weekend is Over

Today was simple. We played games, cleaned up and headed home. We went through Idaho Falls and were able to get square ice-cream on the way home. I wanted to go through Idaho so I wouldn't miss Stockton's phone call. He called this morning to tell me that he was asked to be a trainer! He had to leave and told me he would call later. I was able to talk to him a bit on the drive. It was great. We got home around 7:00 and the girls headed off in different directions. All in all I would say it was a successful weekend. Jorja sure had fun!

Sledding in Shorts

The girls spent the day dancing, going to church, eating, playing games, learning tik tok dances, laughing, taking pictures, watching Sharknado and sledding. Good times. Jorja had a blast!

Senators! Jorja is thrilled to be a part of a group. She is the only junior girl and was the only sophomore girl last year. When they did pictures of girl groups last year she would awkwardly stand by herself. She loved that she was able to be in a group picture this year.

The girls were sooooo cold! Except for Ellie and Jorja who weren't ready to go inside. They were so funny and decided to 'full send' and go sledding in their shorts. Hahaha. They really did it too! Wackos.
Ellie & Jorja
Kelsey, Kate and Paige went home after dinner. I could not believe Kelsey and Kate drove five hours for less than 24 hours of fun. Now that's dedication! I also couldn't believe that the girls wanted to watch Sharknado 5 after watching Sharknado a few days ago. They laughed and laughed. I fell asleep.

Jackson Hole

We took the girls to Jackson Hole today. In my thirty plus years of going to the cabin, we have never been to Jackson Hole. At least as part of the cabin trip. I think I have been here with my family when I was little. Anyway, Jackson Hole is only 45 minutes away and Jorja thought it would be fun to check it out. There was a cute square that had an outdoor ice rink on it. Too bad it was $12 a person. Lots of souvenir shops and a delicious pizza restaurant. I had the Chewbacca pizza and it was so so good! It had honey on it for random. Why have I never put honey on pizza before?

I made Jorja stop and take a picture while we were leaving the pizza restaurant. Look in the background. The resort ski hill is right there. It looked sooo cool! Doesn't look amazing in pictures, but I thought it was great! Jorja was wanting me to hurry. The rest of the group had already crossed the street and I was being slow. Haha.

Of course I had to send this picture to Jordyn
Three other girls came up today. Kelsey, Kate and Ella. Kelsey is the head cheerleader and they had a competition this weekend. They did great and got second in region. Just a few points shy of a nationally ranked school. Pretty cool. Kate had youth conference. It was so cool of these girls to come up for a bit! Kelsey and Kate are going home tomorrow. Crazy girls!

We went night sledding and it was so fun! Kelsey has never played in the snow before! WHAT? I had her wear my snow stuff and I wore a cabin snowsuit. She had a blast! I have no pictures because it was so dark, but it was pretty fun.

Day in the Snow

Today was a snow day! It was a lot of fun. We played for awhile in front of the cabin. Jorja wanted to take her friends to the Springs. Over Christmas the road to the Springs was plowed. Plowed enough where the snow was packed, but there was still snow there so we could sled. We assumed it would be like that again. It wasn't. Should have checked. We tried to take all these girls up to the Springs, but we got stuck. First time we ever got the track 4 wheeler stuck too! If we ever get enough money, we would love to have tracks on both 4 wheelers. Big difference! We would have had no problem in that case. The girls were pretty cold after we got the machines unstuck, so we went back inside and played games. That was fun too. They all wanted to learn this dance 'Renegade' - so that happened a lot.
Weston's snow fort still stands!

Maysen was so great. There was a bit today where Preston was bored. We wouldn't let him play with the girls and he was sad about it. I texted Maysen and asked if she would play Wizard 101 with him. She played with him for a few hours and he was in heaven. He loves her so much. She is so great with him. It made me happy to see her go out of her way to make him happy. Love my family.

On an annoying note... I was bugged at the store. Mike and I went this morning to get some more things for this weekend. I wanted to get some pop. They have the 2 litters on the almost top shelf stuck behind these giant plastic things. You have to be gigantor to get them down. It seriously took me five minutes.
Seriously look how high these are!
One full successful day down, more to go! What a great weekend!
