Last Minute Jazz Game

Today was a fun day. I spent the morning working on a book review Covenant sent me. About 1:30 Debie texted me and asked if I would like to go to the Jazz game with them tonight. She is going with Savannah and Katie. Wow! I didn't expect that! I had even planned on watching the BYU alumni game instead of the Jazz game. My plans instantly changed. So, this is how my day ended up turning out. I left about 2:15 and went to the mall to pick up Jorja's temple dress from being hemmed. I then met Jorja at her first eye therapy appointment. She didn't want me to come back with her. I waited up front, but had brought my book review I needed to work on. Jorja only showed me one thing when she came out. We were in the parking lot and didn't have a lot of time. She had this paper with letters and numbers that were two inches big. Some had a white background and some had a red. She said, "Mom, this is so weird. Put these glasses on and read what is in the red." The glasses had two different color lenses. I put them on and read them quickly. She was surprised that I didn't struggle at all. She said that when she puts the glasses on, everything in the red boxes disappears. Anyway, she is going to show me more when we are at the cabin this weekend.

Jorja wanted to do initiatories while she was down here. We both had appointments for 4:30. Right before she left Logan she changed hers to 5:00 because she was worried she wouldn't have enough time. I wasn't able to get mine changed. I gave her my credit card and told her to fill her car up with gas and she could meet me there. I went to the temple first and waited for her until she was finished. Jorja said this is the sixth time she went to the temple this month. She has been to the Logan Temple twice, the Draper Temple twice, and also to the Gilbert Temple and the Seattle Temple. Nicely done Porge!
Stephanie & Jorja
I hurried home, ate real quick and then headed to Salt Lake. I got there about ten minutes before I was supposed to meet my cousins, so that was great. Cell phones are awesome. We found each other pretty easily. I sent this picture to my brothers.
Stephanie, Debie, Katie, Savannah
I also sent this one. Savannah, Katie, Debie, Stephanie
The game ended nicely!
Tonight was so much fun. Spending time with Jorja in the temple, seeing my cousins which was awesome! And top it all off with a Jazz win. Just the best. I got home about 11:00. My plan had been to be all packed for the cabin tomorrow so we could leave right when I got home from work. That is not going to happen, but it will be okay. I'm glad I was able to see some of my Idaho cousins. It was a lot of fun. Crazy they are driving back tonight. Even crazier Katie is teaching first grade tomorrow. She is a trouper!

Learn the Rulebook

Preston got 100% on his math test. Always nice to have a high score on a test at the start of a quarter. Stockton has been studying so hard for his data structures test at the end of this week. Today he sent a text saying, "Update on my data structures class where exams are 50% of the grade: I just got out of class and my professor said our test this week is so challenging that 'even he wouldn't want to take this test.'" That's got to give Stockton a lot of confidence.

The weirdest thing happened in Blake's baseball game. Blake was playing in the outfield. Two outs. The catcher dropped the ball. They threw it to first. The kid on third ran home. The teenage umpire called it correctly. The run didn't count because the third out was a force at first. Well, the bottom of the last inning Blake's team was down 9-7 with a runner on third the scorekeeper for the other team adds a run. Did not talk to Blake's team to let them know they had changed the score to 10-7. Blake's team ended up scoring two runs and then scored a sac fly to win the game. That is when they found out the other team had added a run and they only tied a game. There are soooooooo many things wrong with this situation. The other team said that because the runner scored before the out at first was made the run counted. WRONG. They said they called the league president and he told them they could add the run. He is wrong and you can't do it after the fact. Not telling the other team is crazy. My brothers and I have been talking about this all day and then into the morning. The other team is now saying it is no big deal and Mike's team should just drop it. If it is know big deal then they shouldn't cheat to win. Absolutely ridiculous.

Stuck in Israel

I worked today. I also accidentally left my phone in the car and my watch at home. When I stopped for lunch there were a lot of messages on our family group chat. My dad was supposed to come back from Israel last night. He didn't. He tested positive and now has to quarantine for five days. This is what my dad said, "I had to get tested in Jordan to enter Israel again to fly out from TelAviv. That test was negative. Then they tested us again in Israel when we crossed the border. The results came back in Hebrew. The next morning they made us get tested yet again, because the results came back in Hebrew and Delta wouldn't accept it. That test came back positive. A second test confirmed the first. Someone with google translate looked at my results the day before, and they were also positive. I'm just glad the Jordan one was negative or I would be stuck in Jordan with no help from the tour company we work through... and no hotel with a view. They bring meals three times a day and hang the sack on the door handle. I have no symptoms. I feel fine. And yes, this is my first bout with Covid. They just brought dinner. I find about 50% to be edible." So, this will be my dad's view the next few days. View of the Mediterranean Sea. Could be worse.

Double Prayers

I was asked to say the closing prayer in sacrament meeting a few days ago. I hate saying prayers in public. I was nervous about it for a couple of days and then during the meeting. It was such a relief when that was over. I went and sat down in relief society with Maysen. Becky Goins came up to me and asked if I would give the closing prayer. I did not handle it well. I burst out, "Are you serious? Again?" I felt bad later because Becky is the sweetest person and I would absolutely hate asking people to say the prayer. Whoops. Today was Hannah Henderson's missionary farewell. She did really well. We went to the Henderson's after for tacos. It was fun. Ron and Javita are going to be moving into their house while Ray and Sara are serving as mission president/companion in Seattle. I'm so excited about that. Javita moved away last summer. Someone asked if they could buy their house. They said no. Then they offered more money and they decided to sell. They have been renting, so it is possible for them to take care of this house. Glad it worked out for both of them.

Mike and I watched Enola Holmes tonight. Maysen and Preston didn't want to watch. I felt like watching a movie. I liked it. That is about all the exciting news from here. One more week until Preston's spring break!

That's Not Good

Preston had a Chinese online practice thing for thirty minutes. He did not want to do it. I made him do it anyway. He was so scared. We set him up in Jorja's room for the meeting. We were in Stockton's room talking with him. Every once in awhile Mike and Jorja would sneak over and listen. Jorja would say, "They just asked him what present he would give to his 80 year old grandma." I don't know what he answered, but I think it was something purple. Jorja said he sounded really good. I asked Preston how he felt about it when he was done. He said it was okay. We'll take it!

It has been fun having Stockton and Jorja here, even if it was only for a little bit. They left this morning to help with the stake fsy activity. Preston left about a half hour after they did. Stockton was able to get Preston in his group. I was so happy when I heard that. They all seemed to have a great time. Yay!

I took Jorja to the mall to get her temple dress altered. The lady who did all of Jorja's school dance dresses doesn't do it anymore. I asked around and the only response I got was they took it to the mall. We had Stockton's baptism pants done there, so we decided to give it a try. There was a guy there that didn't really speak English well. He had Jorja get in her dress. He held it up and asked if that is how short we wanted it. It has a pretty scalloped lace at the bottom and I asked if he needed to take it up at the waist to keep the design. He said no. I asked again if he would be able to keep the scalloped bottom. He said yes. Jorja tried to ask him about taking the dress in a bit, but he just walked away. So... we are hoping for the best.

I spent the day trying to figure out a fall schedule for Stockton. He needs the second half of physics, which would be good to take now. He also has two more classes he needs to take before he can be admitted into the computer science program. He needs to take those because he will run out of classes he is allowed to take if he doesn't. Welp, physics is offered only one time and his computer science class that he needs is offered only one time. Wouldn't you know it, they are at the exact same time. They do offer an online physics class over the summer with his same teacher, so he might end up doing that. Registration is coming up soon. Hopefully Stockton gets his data structures test over with before that happens. Hopefully he does well on that test. He sure has worked hard this semester.

I was working on my computer tonight. I ran upstairs to move the laundry over to the dryer. Came right back downstairs and my computer screen was broken. I have no idea what happened. Maysen and Preston didn't go downstairs. I even asked them if they ran downstairs and punched my computer screen. I didn't notice Bear going down there. It just randomly broke. I'm sad. I really like this computer. This is going to be annoying.

International Banquet

Matt and Sam left today. Mike looked up their wand stats. Amy waved her wand at 16 stations. Kaylee did 54. Jeff had 665. Greg waved his at 731. Anne beat them all with 859. Hahaha. They sure had fun with those! Before Sam left she showed me a preview of Stockton's plates. Sam is doing the layout for us in her spare time. She isn't charging us. It would have been over $1,000 to have someone lay this out for us. Matt is helping her by removing all the periods after the numbers that Stockton had put in. Holy cow! I'm so thankful that they are willing to do this for him. He is going to love this forever.
Preview of Stockton's plates
We got Dutch Bros today because they were donating a bit of every order to Make-a-Wish. I sent Jorja this picture to make her happy. Mike and I got hot chocolates, Maysen and Preston got freezes. Don't get Jelly Donut flavor. I regret that decision.
Stockton sent us this picture and said he can't wait for the International Banquet. Hahaha. He said he saw Bridger on the screen. Bridger is his roommate and is also an ambassador. Stockton got his phone out to take a picture of Bridger but it switched to Jorja. Haha! Even better!
This flyer was emailed to us from Alta. This looks like Jorja's dream. Costa Rica. Chinese. Social Media. I had to laugh at that!
Stockton and Jorja came home tonight. President Back contacted them a few weeks ago and asked if they could help with the stake FSY kickoff tomorrow. Stockton worked so hard in order to be able to come down here. His classes are really hard and he is trying to keep his 4.0. Data Structures might do him in though. He understands the material but says the hardest thing about the class is guessing what the Professor is asking on the tests and quizzes. Yikes! At least he is learning a lot and no matter what his grade ends up being he will know he put everything he had into it. I am so proud of him. He definitely doesn't procrastinate and it has served him well.

Six Years Later...

I worked today and then played with the kids when I came home. Preston is feeling better. I checked him out of school yesterday because he felt sick. Poor kid hasn't felt great for a few weeks now. Mike, Maysen, Preston, Matt and I stayed up until almost 3:00 in the morning playing Risk Legacy. It is a game we started years ago. We hadn't played it for six years. I had a hard time remembering how to play. Luckily Preston is a walking rule book. I was so tired by the time the game was over. I would even take little naps while I was waiting for my turn. Needless to say I didn't win. I was a lot closer than I realized though. Maybe I should have tried a bit harder.

The Dungeon

I spent the day playing with Matt's kids. Mike showed them the magic wand stuff before he went to work. He worked from his workshop today. The kids loved it, especially the dungeon.
Anne, Jeff, Kaylee, Greg
Jorja called and I talked with her for awhile. She said someone from Make-a-Wish contacted her. They wanted to meet with her. She had just finished the meeting when she called me. They were asking her about what she thought would be the best way to do fundraising up here in Logan and things like that. They told her there was internships available. Jorja told them that she has her mission papers in and she is waiting for her call. They were super excited and told Jorja to reach out when she gets back because Make-a-Wish isn't going anywhere. How cool is that? Jorja was pretty excited about it.

Jorja also told me another random story. She was scrolling tiktok and came across a video her roommate had commented on. It was purely random that Jorja saw it. The video was something about how the guy didn't like his roommate. Jorja's roommate commented, "My roommate is the single greatest human I've ever met." Awe. How nice is that? Jorja is pretty amazing.

I made cookies with Greg today. We made sugar cookies and then we frosted them after dinner. It was a great time. Sam told me later that she had never seen Greg stay involved in an activity like that for so long, especially cooking. Haha. We had fun.

Another 4.0 for Preston

So proud of Preston! I didn't think he was going to be able to keep his 4.0. He has worked so hard. There were two classes I was worried about. He had a B in biology all quarter. There was one quiz at the beginning that was weighted so heavy. Preston got a 11.5 out of 15. Everything else was 100. That pulled him down to a B. They had a test the last week and I think the teacher changed some of the required assignments to extra credit because Preston ended the class with 131%. What the heck? The other class I was worried about was Chinese. Preston hates his Chinese class. He says the teacher is scary. Jorja did not like Ms. Peng either her 9th grade year. She had her again her senior year and all was well. I think with the AP test everything is super stressful. Preston has been going after school to redo some assignments. Over parent teacher conference Ms. Peng told me that she doesn't give 100s the first time because she wants them to redo it for practice. Preston has hated going there after school, but he did it anyway. He also turned in all of his extra credit slips he had been collecting. That brought his grade up to an A-. It was at 88%. I knew she hadn't put his make up assignments in, but I didn't think it would go up super high. Well, today I looked and he had an A! I was so excited for him. He ended the class with a 97%. Didn't expect that. So proud of him! I would have been proud of him even if he didn't get an A because he worked so hard. Glad he got it though!

I worked today. I have enjoyed working. It has been a lot of fun for me. Once I was home I spent the time getting things ready for Matt and Sam. They came late tonight. Matt and Sam are sleeping in the guest room. Maysen and Preston are in the girls room and Matt's five kids are in the boys room. Everyone fits right now. That makes things nice.

Jorja Sees Out

I met Jorja at the eye doctor today. This is a different eye doctor. This is the third different eye doctor we have taken her to since November. Jorja has complained for a long time that she can't see. She says words move on the page. I remember her asking me if she had dyslexia years ago. Faces move when she looks at them. She sees colors, like static on a tv everywhere. She has complained about this often, but has really started complaining about it when she went to Utah State. Over Christmas Jorja and I went to get new glasses. When they checked our insurance they saw that Jorja went to a different eye doctor in Logan a few weeks after seeing them. They were asking her about it. Jorja burst into tears and said that she can't see. She is so tired of not being able to see. She doesn't ever remember seeing correctly. The doctor took her back and did another exam. That was nice, but still..... nothing was fixed. Sometime in January Jorja randomly stopped by Ella's house. She was taking with her mom and telling her about how words would move on the page when she read and all the things. Ella's mom said that sounded like what her son dealt with. He found a doctor that did visual therapy and it completely fixed it. Jorja was dumbfounded. Fixed it. Like fixed it, fixed it. Yep. Jorja was so excited. We called the office but were unable to get an appointment until today. When Jorja was filling out the paperwork, she knew she was in the right place. They were asking questions about things she has dealt with her entire life. The funny thing is Jorja put 20 on her score. 20-24 is suspect. 25 or more needs treatment. Jorja added the columns wrong. She would have gotten the same score if she put zeros on everything the way she added. There were 20 questions which is why she got 20. Jorja's real score was 46.
They brought us back to the doctor's office. His name is Jarrod Davies and he was fantastic. Plus he had lots of cool stuff in his office. I only took pictures of a few things. Nice throwback Trappers jersey. He told me he loves it because Trappers were the team he grew up watching.

Dr. Davies & Jorja
Jorja absolutely loved this appointment. Dr. Davies knew exactly what she was talking about. He diagnosed Jorja with Convergence Insufficiency. He said it was the easiest diagnosis he has ever done. And yet no one eyes ever found it. Dr. Davies said that was because they didn't know what to look for. Basically Jorja's eyes see out. Most people can go out to 15 when they look to the side. Jorja's eyes go to 19. Most people can go in farther than Jorja's eyes can. I can't remember the numbers on those. They had Jorja take more tests and then we met with Dr. Davies again. Throughout this entire process we were asked several times if Jorja had ever had a concussion. She hasn't. I'm guessing her symptoms mimic a concussion. Kind of scary, but glad Jorja has never had one of those.
Don't know what is happening, but they are gathering data on Jorja's eyes
When we were back with Dr. Davies he gave her glasses that had one blue lens and one red lens. Jorja was supposed to tell him which of the four dots was closer. She said she couldn't tell, but one dot would change from blue to red to blue to red. He said that is because her eyes fight and do not work together when she tries to see far away. Seeing closer is worse. He had her hold something and asked her what number the red line was on. She said uhhhhhhhh. It was going from two to six to two to six. Anyways, long story short... Jorja needs eye therapy. The hardest part is going to find time for her to fix her eyes before her mission. With living in Logan, than going to Italy, then Costa Rica, then fsy, then on her mission..... But it should fix her eyes permanently. Just like that. Jorja was positively beaming after the appointment. She has hope. I sat in the office watching her being tested and tried not to cry. I had no idea how bad it was. I can not believe how well she has succeeded while dealing with this. Graduating high school with a 3.9 while not being able to see? How I wish we would have found this doctor when she was in elementary school. Or middle school. She lived like this for 19 1/2 years. I'm so sorry baby girl.

Jorja drove back to Logan after the appointment. I stopped at Kneaders on the way home and picked up some food. I got Maysen a cinnamon roll that was as big as her face. Haha

Stockton Shirt

We had stake conference this week. The kids woke up right before it started. Zoom church is pretty awesome. Nothing too exciting happened today. Stockton sent us this picture of a shirt Jorja brought him from Arizona. She found it at a thrift store for $1. I sent him a picture back showing that we were twins. He didn't respond, so I'm sure he didn't understand the hilarity. Jazz also won the Knicks today. Oh, Mike, Preston and I watched Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. I didn't fall asleep, much to the surprise of Mike. I had told him if we watched the movie during the day I could probably stay awake. Nicely done Stephanie!

Nail Be Gone

We had an exciting Saturday by spending the day cleaning. Had to be done. Shannon came over and picked up letters we all wrote for Weston. I texted Stockton and Jorja at the last minute before Jorja left yesterday. Stockton hurried and wrote a letter and then stuck it on Jorja's windshield. Yay! It was fun to talk with Shannon for a bit. The most exciting thing to happen today was Mike got rid of the nail that has been sticking out of the floor for years. It was this giant thing by the door to what we want to be a playroom. I always had to point it out to the kids to hope they wouldn't accidentally hit it. He tried a lot of things to get rid of it, but today he won. Boring picture, but exciting times!

Papers In!

Jorja's mission papers were submitted today! Ahhhhhh! In about a week and a half she will probably get her call. It might be longer with general conference coming up though. Going to be exciting! Jorja came down from Logan today. We did initiatories together. Mike and Preston made hamburgers when we got home before Jorja went off to Abby Sohm's dance concert. She drove back to Logan tonight. Got home at 1:30 am. She is planning on doing a 5k at 8:00 tomorrow. Good luck to her!

Jorja & Preston hugging. Bear wanted to join. The pictures loaded backwards.
I watched the Jazz dominate the Clippers. It was awesome.

Granted, the two best Clippers weren't playing. But....Jazz were playing without Mitchell, Bogey, Whiteside and House. It was such a fun game to watch.

Book Club

Some girls in my ward are starting a book club. We had one when I moved into the ward but it has been a long time. We were supposed to come with three or so of our favorite books. We went around in a circle and shared them. We went around in a circle and introduced ourselves and said our favorite genre. I love the middle school books. Easy reading. They then wanted everyone to show their favorite books and we were going to pick books from there. I had to go first. Everyone's favorite genres were things way more intellectual then what I brought so I kind of felt a little silly sharing them. I mean The Thing About Georgie is around a 4th grade level, but I still love it. Anyway, False Prince ended up getting picked for June so we can read a light book for the summer. Haha. Lots of people had read the books suggested. I hadn't read one. Our first book is Tatoos on the Heart. Should be a fun time.

Red Eyes

Bear helped me wake up Preston today.
Mike and Preston have been having fun working on the wand stations.
They have the pirate telling jokes now. Preston sent Mike a page with 67 pirate jokes on it. Haha. I don't think they are going to do that many. The pirate also has red eyes now. It is a little creepy. Before it broke I think it had green eyes. Hope kids don't get scared when they stay at our house now!

Maysen and her Dog

I didn't feel well again today. I took Preston to the orthodontist then dropped him off at school. I got back in bed and slept until 11:00. Wow! That rarely happens. Preston has elastics now and he is not a fan. Bear dog was being funny during scriptures. He was copying Maysen. Well she was probably copying him. It was still funny. He loves her.

Pi

I felt sick today and it was not fun. Plus the Jazz lost which was disappointing. We did have chicken pot pies for dinner and a lemon meringue pie. Still managed to celebrate pie day. We aren't savages.

Bishop Game Night

We stayed home from church and watched Kaydra's mission homecoming online. It was great. Best thing that came out of corona is being able to not miss family events when you live far away from them. Kaydra lives in Coeur d'Alene. She just got back from serving her mission in Richmond, Virginia. It was good timing. No one was feeling great in our family. Preston got sick first, but is pretty much over it. Maysen got sick a few days ago. Mike got sick today. We had Mike take a covid test just to rule that out. It was negative, thank goodness. The Bishop invited us over to his house for dessert and games. I really wanted to go. It's not often that people invite us over. They invited the Spencers too. Jorja got back from Seattle today. She decided to stay the night and go back to Logan with Clara tomorrow. She came with us to the Bishop's house. It was really fun. We played Word Slam and Code Names. I'm wishing we would have brought Concept. I think they would have liked it. It was such a great time. When we got back, I helped Jorja buy a ticket to Italy. She is going to pay for half of it. Jorja has two really good friends that are also rookie ambassadors. One is from Arizona. Jorja went to her house over spring break and even went through the temple with her. The other is from Italy. Maya invited Jorja and Kinley to come to Italy with her when she flies back. When will Jorja ever have a chance to go to Italy with really good friends. Have a place to stay and have an insider take her to all the cool spots? Kinley is staying for longer than Jorja. Jorja is staying a week. She gets back late at night on Mike's birthday. Mike, Jorja and I fly to Costa Rica the next day. Here's hoping nothing goes wrong with her flights!

Lost Passport

Jorja FaceTimed me while I was on the treadmill. She had Clara cut her hair. With kitchen scissors. I'm guessing it was kind of a spur of the moment thing. Crazy girls.

Jorja
Jorja & Clara
My goal today was to find my passport. We always keep them in the lockbox. After we booked our Costa Rica trip I checked in there and mine was missing. The last time I remember using it was for Israel, right before the world shut down. I have looked for it off and on but have had no luck. I decided I would go through my computer desk today, (which is just a place where lots of stuff has been stuck) if I couldn't find it today I was going to try and start the replacement process before the businesses closed. Mike and I spent hours cleaning and going through things. Randomly I decided to look in this popcorn bucket that has been sitting on my desk. I looked in it and was shocked to see a passport! I couldn't believe it!
SO EXCITED!!!
I opened it only to see it was my mom's old passport from the 80s
While I usually love, love, love, love, love to come across something random from my mom, I was so disappointed this time. It was such a troll job. Granted there are lot of old letters from my mom in there, so it makes since. Just was really hoping to find it. But... I love seeing my mom's handwriting. Here is is with my childhood address. And her childhood address.
Towards the end of the day I started looking into what it would take to replace my passport. I have to fill out a form and then apply for another one. The scary thing is on some sites it was saying that there are delays getting the passport. Also, if I reported it lost and then found it, too bad. We aren't leaving until the end of May, but there is a chance it won't get back in time. Instead of starting the process today like we planned I decided to wait until Monday, hoping to come across it. I said many prayers today asking for my mind to be pricked. I knew it was in the house, just didn't know where it ended up. Mike and I searched the motorhome on the off chance it was there. It wasn't. My dad gave me a ton of stuff that we haven't figured out what to do with. Things like my mom's book of remembrance and college degrees. We have had them in a basket in our room and then moved it to our closet/hallway when we got our bed. We decided to go through that. I went through the basket. Nothing. When Mike moved the basket there was this orange folder with Jorja's name on it. I opened it up and couldn't believe my eyes. There were two passports in there! I shut it quickly and yelled to Mike, "I REALLY don't want to get my hopes up!" He came in and voila! It was mine!!! I was sooooo happy! Last year when we got our covid shots I couldn't find my drivers license and grabbed my passport. I also grabbed Preston's expired passport just in case. I can not believe I didn't put it back. I am so glad I found it. So glad I opened this random folder. I did not for a second think it was in there, so I'm glad I was looking through EVERYTHING. Yay! I get to go to Costa Rica! Yay! I don't have to pay for a new passport or worry it won't come in on time. Feeling much better about that today.

Random Things

I worked today. It was a little chaotic when I was asked to get a girl's backpack out of her classroom while she was testing. The girl didn't know. When she came out of the conference room my back was turned. Then she searched the school for her backpack. Felt bad about that one. I had Preston meet me by my desk after school. I skipped lunch today so I could go with him to Chinese. He has a few things he needs to make up, but he is so scared to go. On the way there he was having a hard time breathing and almost threw up. When we got to Ms. Peng's rooms there were a lot of people inside. Ms. Peng saw us and came and talked to Preston in the hall. He didn't end up doing any of the things he needed to do, but I think it helped him not be so nervous when he has to go there tomorrow. Jorja seems to be having fun in Seattle. Clara is feeling a lot better today. They went to the Seattle temple and to Ivars. Other stuff too, I just can't remember. Jorja's disappointed that they won't be able to go to the Portland temple while they are there. Gas prices are so high right now and the car they are renting doesn't have the greatest gas milage. Maysen has been miserable this week. She has been sick, poor girl.

Crocodile

Mike, Preston and I were playing a game of Dominion when Jorja texted us. She flew to Seattle this morning. Her friend Clara flew there with her. Jorja's favorite band is playing in Seattle tonight. Clara's favorite is playing Saturday. They hung out today, went to an aquarium and were getting ready for the concert when Clara got really sick. Jorja was texting me and we were trying to figure things out. Clara didn't think she could go to the concert. She hurt everywhere and was throwing up. She said if we could find someone they could use the ticket. It was only a little more than an hour before the concert was starting. I called Cheri and left a message. I was hoping her boys were home for spring break. Or maybe she could bring Lily down. I wasn't really sure, but the thought of Jorja going to downtown Seattle by herself at night... I didn't like that. I kept calling the venue, but no one ever answered. It was at a place called the Crocodile. I was hoping they could tell me how safe it was and where the closest parking was. I told Jorja to pay for parking, get as close as she could and I would venmo the money. I did not want her walking one step more then she had to. Anyway, Clara ended up going. I don't know if she had a horrible case of food poisoning or what happened. I haven't heard from Jorja how Clara is doing, but they both went. I hope Clara was okay and not in too much pain. I'm glad Jorja got to see the band. Their name is Valley. Hopefully no one gets sick the rest of the trip and they are able to make all of their plans.

No School

I worked today. Preston didn't have school. It is ACT testing for the Juniors. He could come to lunch and meet with teachers, but they have no class today. Preston and Mike have been having fun working on mine stations. Mike found out more information about the wand codes and now the wands work so much better! Preston was going around making everything go off. They have had a lot of fun working on the wand stuff and the ward Christmas party. If he can pull it off it would be so funny. Let's just say it involves conveyer belts and 1,000 ball pit balls. Hahaha

Jorja went through the Gilbert, Arizona temple today with Kinley. She took her endowments out today. I haven't heard much from Jorja, just that the Gilbert temple is so pretty. Hope she has a fun time. She sure is a busy girl.

Gilbert, Arizona

I dropped off Jorja at the airport early this morning. Glad we realized Friday she bought her tickets for the wrong date, and not as we were dropping her off! I went inside and helped her check her bag and walked with her until she went through security. She is staying with her friend Kinley.

Jorja letting me know she landed in Arizona
Jorja got her picture in front of a giant cactus a lot quicker than Stockton did!
Granted she has more freedom to go where she wants. Haha
I wanted to watch Harry Potter for Family Home Evening. I was the last one in the movie room, so I got the little beanbags up front. Not a good choice for me since I couldn't keep my eyes open. Although I usually fall asleep during movies, so I don't know if a different seat would have made a difference. I did not sleep well at all last night and was dead tired by the time I got to bed. Oh well.
