Bee

Mike and I went early this morning to drop off Jorja's car at the repair shop. Mike had a couple of bottles of coolant with him. He only made it down Pepperwood Drive before he had to stop to fill it up. He managed to make it the rest of the way to the repair shop. It was smoking when he got there, but had just started. Hope they can fix it! It sure has been a great car for her.

Jorja - Last homecoming dress. We really thought this one would win, but it did not.

Jorja ended up talking with Packer on the phone for over an hour. He was in a car wash when she called him and he ended up crashing into the wall. Not a big crash, just a baby one. He seems to be doing better and might let the kids do more things this year. Fingers crossed for that! Today is Jorja's first day out of quarantine! She made the most of it. She had online school, but managed to go out to lunch with Ella and Giselle.

Jorja had a double date with Giselle. She took Riley as a late birthday date and Giselle took Ethan. Jorja said they had the best time. They went to this rolled ice-cream place in Salt Lake, then just did different things downtown. Jorja gave Riley his birthday present, which was a Minecraft bee she made him. Actually, Riley was killed in assassin right as they were getting into the car when Jorja picked him up. She gave him his present then to make him feel better. All in all, Jorja had a great time. It is nice for her to be out and about again.

On a side note, this is what my pantry looks like now. I took these pictures for Rachel.

Integrity

I finally picked up Preston's yearbook from last year. They didn't get them in until a couple of weeks ago. They keep sending out pickup dates and times, and I keep forgetting. Until today!

Maysen came to the pick up with me, then we went to Walmart again, for the zillionth time. We also went to a few nursery to look for ideas on building a terrarium for Maysen. We spent the rest of the day finishing the pantry. We worked until Mike and the kids came home. It looked pretty great.
Orange trees... didn't know they sold them here...
Jorja and a rough day. She had studied hard for her statistics test, but only scored a 67. She scored 100 on her practice test. 67 won't be her final score, it will probably be in the 70s though. Jorja was devastated. She thought she understood everything, but I guess she made silly little mistakes. She always compares herself to Stockton when it comes to math, which is not a fair comparison at all. I am so proud of her though. A lot of people in her class were on FaceTime during the test. Jorja was on there. When the test started she said, "I hate to be that person, but I'm going to do this on my own." She got off the call. Later someone messaged her and told her how much they admired her for what she did and wished they had the courage to do the same thing. Jorja told me, "Well, that's nice and all, but they got the better score." Still, I'm so proud of her for her integrity. That is way more important than a test.

Jorja has been planning on going on a double date tomorrow with Giselle. She finally finishes her quarantine today and she wants to take Riley out for his birthday. Giselle's date cancelled on her today. Jorja wanted to know if I would be okay if she went with Riley alone. I was not. Jorja was not happy about that. Riley did text me today and apologize for what he did with Jorja's snapchat. That is a step in the right direction, still... I have a lot of anxiety about this. Luckily Giselle was able to find a new date, so crisis adverted.

STOCKTON HAS BEEN TRANSFERRED TO NIKKI'S WARD!!!

The most amazing, unbelievable, exciting thing happened today! Stockton called and told me he was being transferred to Sierra Vista. I told him that is where Nikki lives. Nikki is my college roommate and I love her so much! Maysen and I visited her in Alaska, but they have now moved to Arizona. Wouldn't that be cool if Stockton ran into her? I sent Nikki a message while I was talking to Stockton. Thirty minutes later she wrote back and said what ward she is in. Stockton wasn't sure what ward he was being transferred to, but he knew who he was replacing. I told her he was replacing Elder Otuafi and Elder Jensen. Guess what! THAT IS NIKKI'S WARD!!! I couldn't believe it! I was still on the phone with Stockton when I noticed Nikki had replied. All I read was "That's us!!!" before I started screaming and running around the room. Hahaha. I was so excited. Stockton was laughing and Maysen was looking at me like I was crazy. Stockton said he was so glad he was on the phone and could hear my reaction. Out of every place Stockton could have gone to in the entire world, he is being sent to Nikki's ward. So, so, so, so cool.

I was on a high the rest of the day. Maysen and I spent the day gathering more supplies for the pantry and watching Avatar. We also went to lunch at Schmidt's Pastry Cottage. I took a picture to troll Mike. He loves the eclairs there. So does Preston. Then we went to Home Goods or something like that. I have loved having one-on-one time with Maysen.

The reason Mike went to the cabin after Bridger Lake instead of coming home was because of today. The Internet guy came and put in different internet. We are now paying less money then we were before for coverage that is about as good as what we have at our house. So excited about this! Especially if Preston stays online all year. What a fun place to do school from! The weird thing was he placed the Internet box at the top of the stairs. Mike is going to buy a longer cord and try to move it someplace less conspicuous.
Jorja had a hard day. She was told that Packer is cancelling all the activities for the rest of the year. No after school activities at all. They will just have to watch leadership lectures in class. It is really stressing her out because she is in charge of the Make-A-Wish fundraiser. The three main events they use to earn money have all been cancelled. The school dance. The Choir Performance. I think Battle of the Bands was the last one. I can't remember. She was also frustrated from other student government things. Mike took her to Taco Bus to make her feel better. They finally made it, even though it was super slow.
Jorja did get a picture of Kate today, so she loved that. She is hoping she can do a good enough job that they can do a cool backyard makeover for her. Fingers crossed!

Bridger Lake to Parrydise

Maysen and I went to church today. Things are so weird right now! The Chalk's spoke, and it was really good. I went and talked to them after. They just moved here from Texas and have a girl Jorja's age! Too bad they didn't move in years ago! Jorja really likes her. Hopefully they become great friends.

I was soooo frustrated with Jorja today. Turns out she gave Riley her snapchat password so he could post things while she was out of service. I do not like her giving out her password. It is a bad idea. On Friday he posted something like I have control over Jorja's account this weekend while she is out of service... something like that. Then last night he posted a video of him in a hotel room in Vegas. I know he didn't think about this, but when he posts it from JORJA'S account, it looks like she is in the hotel room with him! Does he really think that everyone will remember or even saw that he would be posting for her? Total lapse in judgement. What was even worse was he had a conversation with Aiden from Jorja's account. I do not for one second think that Aiden thought he was talking to Jorja, still... it was from her account! It started off innocent enough, but then Aiden joked about coming down to Vegas and Riley said, "I'll sleep with you if you do" FROM JORJA'S ACCOUNT! I was livid. So, so, so, so mad. I know they thought it was funny, but he has no right to post things like that from her account. If she does something that idiotic, that should be her choice. Aiden could have taken a screenshot and messed with her reputation. It was ridiculous. Total lapse in judgement from both Riley and Jorja. I'm trying so hard to like Riley, this definitely didn't help. I changed Jorja's password and sent her a text letting her know I did. When she got back into service, the first thing she asked for was her password. I told her I wanted to talk to her first. It was hard because they kept cutting in and out of service.

They seemed to have a fun time though. They drove to the cabin today. Preston made fish with Mike for his weekly dinner. I'm so glad they had a great time. I'm glad Jorja and Preston were able to spend time together without technology getting in the way.

Maysen and I had a relaxing day together. We started watching Avitar: The Last Airbender. That has been pretty fun to watch with her. It has been so nice to have Maysen to myself. We don't get that very often.

Fish Licker

Maysen and I had a great time today. Kind of weird, since we spent most of it cleaning. We cleaned out the fridge, went to Zupas, went to the Container Store, cleaned out the pantry. It was a lot. We didn't get the pantry put back together yet, but we will before Mike comes home.

I sent this picture to my brother's while we were watching the BYU football game
Mike is with Jorja and Preston at Bridger Lake. There is no service there, which is kind of nice. I got these pictures off of phones after they came home. They had a great time and apparently Bear likes to lick fish.

Lost Dog

Today was Riley's 18th birthday. His mom and sister organized a drive-bye party. I let Jorja go with Giselle. I have been strictly making her quarantine, but it is so hard. She has been away from these guys for a week now. Both Jorja and Giselle tested negative, so I figured this would be okay.

Jorja took Bear with her on the adventure. On her way home she called me hysterical. Bear had jumped out or fell out the window while she was driving. Maysen, Preston and I jumped in the car to help her look. It was on a street just past the firestation. I saw her standing by the car. We headed to the park that was just down the street to start looking there. Preston ran out of the house without shoes and looked the entire time walking around barefoot. Jorja said she was driving slow when she heard Bear hit the ground and give a little whimper. She slammed on her breaks and her phone fell. She grabbed her phone and by the time she got out of the car Bear was gone. We looked for a loooong time. Almost an hour. We talked to lots of people, went all sorts of places. I called Mike who was at the store getting things for his fishing trip. I wanted to let him know what was going on because the number on Bear's collar is his. Anyway, someone found Bear and called Mike. We were so happy! Jorja went to pick up Bear and then brought him to the park where we were waiting. I guess he ran to the house across the street and was in their garage. They had a little boy that was playing with him. He asked Jorja what happened. She told him that he jumped out of her car and then he ran away. The boy asked where he was running to. Jorja told him, "To you! He knew you would keep him safe." That made the boy super happy. Anyway, it was quite a stressful morning. We are glad to have him back. Giselle and Dessa were also helping look. They were both so nice to do that.

When we got back, Jorja's new batch of homecoming dresses had arrived. Jorja was able to try them on before she left for the weekend. That was great because one of the dresses needed a smaller size. We ordered that one. It says it will come on Tuesday, which is the day Jorja gets back. Perfect timing.
This one was my favorite

Jorja tried this one one again. She is deciding between the one above and this one. She picks this one.
Mike took Jorja and Preston to Bridger Lake. Jorja wasn't planning on going until she got quarantined. This will be a nice way for her to pass the time. Preston was so excited Jorja decided to go.
