Starting the Adventure

Mike had today off of work. We got a lot of the packing done last night, but still had lots to do. Mike emptied out the little trailer so we could pull luggage behind the van. We haven't used the trailer for a long time, so I'm glad it worked out! Don't know what we would have done if it didn't! We brought up lots of food with us instead of buying everything up there. Trailer helped a lot with that! Jorja texted me this morning and said she was sick and felt like she needed to throw up. Uh oh. That's not good. I was hoping she just needed sleep. She was up LATE last night. She came home and slept through PLT before she went back to school. It was the last day of the quarter, so not good to miss it if it can be helped.

Jorja's friends came over around 4:00 and we packed up everyone in two cars and headed out. I am so glad we left today instead of tomorrow morning. We passed so many signs warning of a storm Friday morning. The roads were great for us the entire way. We stopped in Evanston at Costa Vita and made it to the cabin around 9:30. Mike and I walked up the hill to get the 4 wheelers. Mike had fun bringing the girls up and made sure he surprised them with the turn to head up to the cabin. Haha. The girls are all sleeping in the big room downstairs. We left the heat on that room last time we were up there. Good decision. It was cold everywhere else, but they were toasty warm. Glad we got up here safely!
