Starting Operation Duck Fence

Holy cow! I got way behind again. GRRRRRR. I guess I will mostly post by pictures because my memory is awful. One of Jorja's friends is leaving to Florida today, so they decided to go to a movie before his flight left. I think they went to see a Jurassic movie. Jurassic World maybe?

I dropped Julian and Madison off at their houses and brought Jorja and Hailey back here. They hung out until it was time for Jorja to go to work. She will be working a lot this week. It is her first week of summer without a camp to go to. She was trained on the drive thru today. She loved it. I got a text from her right as I was picking her up asking if I could go through the drive thru and order a frosted root beer. I was excited thinking it would be her, but it wasn't. She just wanted the drink.

Mike came home and started working on a duck fence with Preston. Preston loved it. It is nice that Mike has found something that helps Preston get away from his computer!

Lumify

Today was the first official day of our summer break! Yay! I spent it wisely. Doing laundry. It was so frustrating though. For some reason, our circuit breaker kept going off. It took forever to get the laundry finished when I kept having to walk to the side of the house to flip the switch. We have come to the conclusion that the dryer and the air conditioner can't be run at the same time. I don't like that conclusion.

Mike came home from work and started attacking this poor tree. It looks like a mouth is going to eat Mike, but have no fear, Mike conquered.

I ordered eye drops at the Walmart that was near our house. They were supposed to be in after 3:00 today. I went and waited, only to find out that they were never actually ordered. I asked if they had the drops at another Walmart. She started looking on the computer and told me they had them in Salt Lake. When I asked if there was any closer, she said, "Oh! I'll check." Really? Why wouldn't you check the close Walmarts first? Weird. I was told they were at the Quarry Bend Walmart. So, that is where I headed next. It was so annoying because I couldn't turn left on the road I needed to, so I had to go way out of my way to get to the store. In nasty traffic. Once there, I looked everywhere for the eye section. I finally found it, but the drops weren't there. I waited in line to ask where they were. The lady looked and couldn't find them either. She asked someone else who pointed to a giant display that was around the corner from the eye section. Haha!
Stockton went up to the neighborhood pool and helped Gavin coach diving. He's excited because Gavin asked him if he could coach while he is on various camps. Stockton added up how much he would earn and was very happy with the results. This was the last time diving was in the afternoon. Next week it will go to morning. He came home with his diving friends. They went to Gavin's house and played games. Jorja went bowling with Hallie, Jaren and Julian. The three kids she went with had never met each other, they just each knew Jorja. When I picked them up, they were all joking around like they were best pals. That's great. Jaren has struggled making friends since his move to California.  Sometimes it is easier to meet and bond with people in non-school settings. Anyway, both Stockton and Jorja were tired when they got home. This made Maysen and Preston a bit disappointed. Tonight is stay up all night-night. Stockton and Jorja didn't want to participate this year. Maysen and Preston played games by themselves. They were planning to play every Mario Party board, which they anticipated lasting all night. I don't know if Maysen and Preston are still going to try. At least the two of them have a lot of fun together.

NO MORE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

Today was officially the last day of school. It was also Preston's last day of elementary school . . . ever. No more elementary school for my family. I can't believe it. That's so sad. Preston was not amused that I wanted to take pictures to document this occasion.

 There he goes!
Preston's last walk around the school.
We all went to see his promotion ceremony. We decided to stand in the back, we could see better that way. The entire fifth grade sang a song together. Mike and the kids were dancing in the back. It was so dang cute! Preston kept laughing at them.

In these next two pictures the kids are holding up signs of what they want to be when they grow up. Preston was having a little bit of problem with his paper. Haha! You can't see what is on his sign. He is next to the dentist. His says 'programmer'.
Preston was on the end in the front. He snuck down during the other skits to be with us. Then we snuck out the back door while the show was still going on. What are they going to do? Keep him from graduating elementary school?

 Good-bye Lone Peak!
 What a beautiful setting.
I thought Preston would want to go somewhere to celebrate, especially since he wasn't able to come to Stockton's graduation celebration. Nope. He just wanted to go home. Well, that was easy. Mike headed to work, the rest of us came home. I took Jorja to a dermatologist appointment. Stockton went to diving. Preston isn't going to dive this summer. Jorja, Hailey and Julian all hung out downstairs. Ping pong, fooseball and a movie. They watched World War Z. I watched the end with Jorja and Julian, after Hailey had to go home. I had no idea what was going on. Then I sat on the couch while Jorja and Julian played Uno. Jorja didn't like that. She said, "Are you just going to sit there mom?" Yep. That is exactly what I'm going to do. Do you want me to go into detail about why I'm not leaving you alone downstairs with a boy? Do you really want me to go there? If you think I'm embarrassing you now, do you really want me to answer why I am sitting here? Anyway, Julian's dad came and picked him up right before midnight. I was so tired!
