Sled Trains

I realized that I was missing some pictures that we took of Jorja. I was missing a lot! It's funny because I didn't realize I was missing any until I couldn't find the pictures of Stockton photobombing. I didn't take many pictures today, so here are some of Jorja yesterday.

 Can you find Stockton?
 What a goofball!
I like Jorja smiling pictures best
Matt and Sam came today. Bubs and his family were able to stay the entire day. We played in the snow a lot. No pictures, just videos of our train.
It doesn't look like it, but we were zooming down the mountain....and we made it!

Maysen and I went to the Star Valley Temple today. It is about 45 minutes away from the cabin. That temple is small! When Maysen was leaving the dressing room I told her to wait for me in the chapel. I wanted to go to the bathroom. When I left the dressing room I thought I was walking into the chapel. Nope, it was the endowment room, and it was packed! There were no seats next to Maysen. Luckily the lady next to her could see the panic on my face and she let me sit next to Maysen. I'm pretty sure there was a Smith wedding going on. I'm glad we were able to fit this in. I loved being with Maysen there. It was really peaceful. What a perfect day.

Cabin Temple

Mike met Maysen at her apartment around noon.  He fixed her scanner, her speakers and her lamp.  Nice.  He took Maysen out to lunch at Angie's.  They both said it was delicious.  Mike then brought Maysen, Demetria and Alison up to the Star Valley Temple dedication. We were worried they wouldn't make it, but they got there in plenty of time.  They were there way before us.  We were late, but luckily were still able to go through.  Preston was so excited to see Maysen.  He wouldn't stop hugging her.

After watching the video at the church we loaded up on a bus to take us to the temple.  First step: booties.  Anne loved her booties.  She was sad at the end when she needed to 'throw them away'.  Once Sam explained that they were going to have other people use them she seemed to be okay.

I don't think I've ever gone through a small temple before.  The celestial room was tiny!  It was still pretty.  I'm glad we were able to make it!

Anne loved, loved, loved, loved, loved riding the bus.  They were super nice and it was raining really hard outside.  Plus she didn't need to be in her carseat and that is always fun.

It is great having a temple up at the cabin, but it isn't super close.  Still, it's fun to drive by when we go the Wyoming way.

Maysen's Tree

Maysen is leaving for college in three days.  She wanted to plant a tree before she left.  She wants to be able to show her kids the tree that was planted for her before she starts the next phase of her life.  She wanted a climbing tree, I'm not sure if the one she picked will be a climbing tree, but it will have red leaves at some times.  I love that!  I just hope Mike and I don't accidentally kill it.  Neither of us have green thumbs.

Jorja spent all day at school in the WEB program.  The WEB leaders are going to help the new sixth graders get adjusted to school.  She has been pretty excited about this and had a fun day.  Her schedule was also released today.  They split the Chinese class this year, so that will be interesting.  She also has a new Chinese teacher.  I hope she loves her!  Jorja got the math teacher she didn't want and the English teacher she didn't want.  I asked her if she wanted me to try and change her classes.  She doesn't.  She is going to stick it out.  The fact that Katlyn has math and English with her might have something to do with it.

I tried to get tickets to the Cabin Temple open house today.  I was four minutes late because I wanted to watch the gold medal steeplechase race that was on.  I didn't think it would be a problem, but it was!  I couldn't get tickets for the Saturday session.  I did get them for 7:15 on Friday.  Maysen finishes her Friday class at 4:20.  That's not leaving us with a lot of time.  I did manage to get two tickets for Saturday.  I'll have to keep looking.
