Day two of camp. Jorja had to go early because she was on the breakfast committee today. Most of the camp today was in the new fine arts center. Jorja had a presentation for over an hour today, but was never told what she was supposed to do. The agenda says 'Silver Rush', so she is assuming it is about the fundraiser. Anyway, the Keynote speaker had to cancel, so Jorja's presentation was even longer. Jorja said it went great. She is a natural. She came home excited and sad. Sad because of Riley and excited because she had lots of ideas for the fundraiser and everyone seemed to be excited about it with her. The kids had to wear their masks today because a parent complained that they didn't wear them yesterday. Jorja brought the yellow mask she made and she looked adorable. Jorja's friend Paige took pictures of them.

The night games was capture the flag. The two teams were split up before camp. Red and silver. Jorja was on red. Jorja and Ella were assigned to guard the flag. They had fun singing, dancing and goofing around. Jorja was in the Chinese program with Ella, Bode and Sadler growing up. Fun to have this experience together.

Jorja didn't talk to Riley again today and came home sad about it. She says she is happy at camp, but when she sees him leave it makes her sad. She is missing how good of friends they used to be. She has found out how many people care about her though. For example, Bode had to divide everyone into two teams. He counted off 1-2-1-2. Jorja was at the beginning and Riley was at the end. When Bode realized Jorja and Riley would be on the same team he said two ones in a row. He was pretty sly about it too. That really touched Jorja. She said that he had to remember her number the entire time. He has been so kind to her. When Jorja got home she had been crying. She called up Brenton and asked if he would go to Walmart with her. He cheered her up. I'm glad she has people she can count on. She came home much happier. She ended up sending Riley a text that said something like this has been really hard. She isn't ready to be friends yet, but she hopes they will be able to talk. (Not a deep talk, just acknowledge each others existence I think.) So, guess we'll see what tomorrow brings.
