Matt and Sam had their new baby boy today. Gregory Ronald was born at 8:01 am. He weighs 6 pounds 11 ounces and is 19 inches long. His oxygen and blood sugar were low so he had to stay in the NICU hooked up to machines. He couldn't figure out how to breathe, his chest would be super intended. They ended up switching him to a stronger breathing machine. That made them need to put a tube down his mouth to get air bubbles out. I texted Jackie to ask her how common this is. (My aunt Jackie works in the NICU at Idaho Falls.) She said it happens, he should be fine after a couple days on the machine. Still, it will be nice to see him without wires, and for Matt and Sam to be able to hold him.
