Quail Hollow

We spent all day at Quail Hollow. It was a lot of fun. Cori had rented a giant paddle board for the kids. They had that for a couple of hours. Then she rented a party barge things with a couple of kayaks. Mike had his boat and Scoop had his. The kids played and played in the water. We met for lunch at a picnic table by the boat dock, although Dallen showed up without his kayak. He left it somewhere. I was so worried it would be stolen and we would need to pay a lot of money. Luckily it was where he left it. Still, not the smartest move. After lunch the kids finished playing on the rented items and we started taking people on tubes. Our boat doesn't go very fast, but it was fast enough. Everyone got a turn on Scoop for a crazy tube ride. Dawson didn't wear a swimsuit. He wore his pants. He got burnt yesterday at the pool and didn't want to risk anymore sun. He was such a good sport! Also, this was his first time ever being pulled behind a boat. Crazy! At lunch, Dawson got his fancy camera. He took some good pictures. I have a lot of pictures coming up. Most are from Jorja's camera, but several are Dawson's.

There was a huge wild fire going on. Joy, Brenton's older sister, was really worried about Brenton. She kept texting him making sure he was safe. She lives in Saint George too. While we were at the lake, we saw helicopters dropping a bucket into the water and taking it to the fire. The water looked so small, but I bet it was a ton. I think this fire was started by fireworks.

Mike got this dolphin board to tow behind the boat. You have to use it without a life vest. You hold it and angle down and you go under water, angle up to come up, one forward and one back to twist. We brought his snorkel mask which made it awkward to breathe. Although I'm not sure if swimming goggles would be better, then you would have to worry about water up your nose. Next time we should bring both so people could choose. Layla was going to try. She was in the water, but got too nervous. Jorja did it. So did I. It was kind of cool. It would be amazing in water that is clear with interesting things to look at. This water you could see a couple of feet in front of you. It was still fun. It gets cold when you go down low! The boat has to go super slow, but it feels much faster in the water. When I was being pulled we switched the kids out. Bode, Sadler and Dallen all tried. It is tiring, but fun.

I put Jorja's phone down below because I was worried about it getting too hot, it was almost out of battery. Well, it would not turn on after that. We tried doing the forced restart. Then it would go in a loop. It said we needed to restore it to factory settings. Jorja was sad. She didn't want to lose all her pictures, and we didn't have them backed up. (Spoiler alert...she got her pictures back...obvious sense I put tons of them on this post.)

We were all so exhausted when we got home. Instead of going out to eat we had super delicious hamburgers at home that Scoop grilled. The kids then went out to some treehouse place. I don't have any pictures because Jorja's phone wasn't working. Anyway, it was some amazing house of a person Dallen knew. The treehouse is as big as our house. They also went to Dixie Rock again. Jorja said they waited while Dallen, Sadler and Joe flirted with girls for an hour. That was not her favorite. Good thing they had such a busy, fun day!
