SBO Retreat

Today was the first day of Jorja's SBO retreat. This was soooo hard to pull off. Usually the first meeting of the year, Packer has them bring all the dates they are busy during the summer. The dates for the retreat are planned then. Clear back in April. Well, with corona going on, that didn't happen. Jorja realized they weren't going to get a retreat. She was very sad. So, she pestered everyone to give her dates. There was only one four day stretch when all nine of them were available. Today until Thursday. Once that was figured out, Jorja talked to Cori and asked if they could stay with them in Saint George. Time and place were picked. The hardest part was calling Packer to let him know. He wasn't too happy about it. He told her that he couldn't stop her but he didn't think they needed the retreat. Usually it is to plan things for next year, but they got that done at the student government camp held at Alta. He told her that he thought they were already close and didn't need it at all. Jorja's eyes filled up with tears. They missed the Utah State camp so they couldn't go on an SBO retreat? She told Packer that they weren't close at all. She feels close to most of the SBOs individually, but not as a group. They haven't hung out once all together the entire summer and that they really need this. He gave her the go-ahead, but seemed kind of disappointed in her. Anyway, Jorja is so, so, so, so happy to be going on this trip. Bode is driving one car and she is driving the other. Mike and I are driving a truck Scoop dropped off so we can tow the new boat. Everyone met here between 4-4:30. Jorja had sack lunches made for them, with sandwich stuff out so they could make their sandwich to their liking.

Jorja drove Brenton, Layla, Dawson and Joe. Brenton had her phone and was posting on Snapchat. He did a 'Ask Brenton anything' thing. Then he would answer the question with random pictures. I'm so sad that I didn't take a screen shot of some of the pictures. Jorja looked absolutely adorable on a ton of them. This is the only one I got a picture of.

We made good time to Saint George. The kids all arrived before we did. Mike and I stopped in Fillmore at a Subway/gas station thing to pick up Cori's credit card that she accidentally left there yesterday. Glad we were able to pick it up for her. The kids are all having a great time. There are three rooms downstairs. Two on one side of the house with a bathroom, one on the other side of the house with a bathroom. The boys are sharing the two rooms and the girls have a room on the other side. Mike and I are staying in the guest room on the main floor. Worked out perfectly. Scoop and Cori had tacos for everyone. The kids watched a movie and we went to bed. Yay! Glad everyone made it here safely!

Jorja and Brenton played a lot of DS games. Brenton was using Stockton's old DS player. He found a lot of movies from years ago. It was so funny! Stockton and little tiny Preston. Blast from the past for sure, and I loved it!

We laughed so hard when we saw all the whipped cream in the fridge. They didn't mean to buy this many, but this is what happened. I took a picture and sent it to Preston. He texted back 'YES'. Preston loves whipped cream.
