Stockton's Married!

Buckle up, this is going to be a long post. Mostly of pictures. Today was such a great day! Mike and Stockton left the hotel really early. The rest of us left shortly after. We had to be there by 6:30. Preston decided to come with us and hang out with the little cousins in the waiting room. Matt and Sam had all of their kids in the waiting room and Rachel had three of hers. Mina, Grace and Eve. Can't believe they were able to get that many little kids ready so early and at the temple 30 minutes away! Anyway, that ended up being so nice. I'm glad Preston was there the entire time. The sealing was beautiful. So great to see most of my little family in the temple. And lots of extended family too. All of Mike's siblings were there with their spouses. Rachel, Matt and Sam were there for me. I wish my other brothers could have come, but distance, new jobs, and the Little League World Series all stood in the way. Haha

Today was such a beautiful day. The weather was perfect. We had a lot of fun outside the temple waiting for Stockton and Alyssa.

We hurried back and checked out of the hotel room. Then we made our way to Provo. Stockton had his reception at White Willow Reception Center. It was beautiful. Alyssa's family provided a breakfast before the reception for the family. (I know the groom's family usually provides this, but Stockton and Alyssa told us they would rather us give them the money we would spend. Alyssa's family was on board with that idea, but then decided they would like to have something on a smaller scale for the family. I didn't try any of the breakfast, but Rachel said it was delicious.)

The reception center had a roomful of toys and a babysitter upstairs. I never went up there but both Rachel and Sam said it was awesome. Their kids were up there almost the entire time. Which made it so their parents were able to stay at the reception the entire time. How cool is that?

Alyssa and her family made the cake. They were stressed out because it was falling apart. They had it in the car during the wedding and it revolted. It still tasted great, and that is what counts. Plus it is 5,000 times better than what I could have done.

My Uncle John and Aunt Renee came on their way back to St. George. How awesome!!! I was so happy! I was also sooooo surprised when my cousin Debie showed up. She drove down from Idaho Falls today, BY HERSELF, just to come to Stockton's wedding. I couldn't believe it! How nice is that? Terry had a young men activity he needed to go to and it was Savannah's boy's birthday, so Debie came by herself. That made me feel so loved. Man, I miss when we saw the Parry family all of the time. Growing up with them was the best!

The food was really good. They had street tacos from Rio Sonora. They also had veggie trays, fruit trays, BYU brownie varieties, and cake bites from Sweet Tooth Fairy. Everything was really good. I took a screen shot of Stockton's BeReal he posted right before the reception started. Hahaha. That is a good one!

It was crazy how good everything worked out. The morning was early, but we were done by 2:00. The weather was perfect for us. We ended up driving home in a thunderstorm. A really bad one. Man did Stockton & Alyssa make the right call by having an afternoon reception! We came home and the kids all hung out in the pool for awhile. They deserved it after the long day they had!

Stockton and Alyssa came by and hung out for awhile. Stockton picked up his suitcase and then they headed for the cabin. They arrived there a little after 10:00. Crazy that by boy is married! Alyssa makes him very happy. They are going to have a great life together.
