Watch Out Harry Potter!

Stockton was so worried about his "kindness slip" he drew for his dad. "Do whatever Dad wants for Time with Dad". He couldn't believe he got that slip. Especially since he wrote it! Lately Stockton has been playing the Wii for Time with Dad. He is only allowed to play the Wii then and on the Wii party days. (You can go to the Wii party if you have been a member of Eater's Club for 12 days). We have a Wii party once a month. Although, I started letting him have 15 minutes/chapter of Harry Potter.

ANYWAY, this kindness slip was going to be tough for him. So, when the time came, he asked Mike what he wanted to do. So sweet. Mike always has ideas. Today, they spent time rigging the treasure chest that holds our spare change to open when a wand is pointed at it. (Back in October, we went to a place called Magiquest where you buy these wands that interact with tons of different objects in their building like statues, paintings, treasure chests, etc). Mike was able to figure out how to get the wands to talk with this remote control receiver on the computer, which talks to this other thing, which runs a motor that opens and closes the chest. Oh my goodness. Preston had a lot of fun with that one. Boy was he ticked when it was time for bed! That didn't go over well at all!

On a completely unrelated topic. I voted today. I am so glad voting is over! The last few days we have been called by so many people. The funniest was when Ronald Reagan's son called from Stockton, CA. The caller ID said: Stockton, CA. Mike looked at the phone and said, "Stockton's calling." Then he paused--"wait, he doesn't have a cell phone".

The end.

Steph, the election was Nov. 4th.

Other voting going on? I don't get this. Are you doing pre-voting for ACORN?

It's called a run-off election Brett... Georgia had one of those senate races that was too close to declare a winner so they had to have a run-off election.

We got all kinds of auto-calls and ads in the mail about it because if the republican wins (which he did) then the democrats wouldn't have a filibuster-proof majority.
