Surprise Registration

Mike and I had to be to church early for a special ward council. We need help for the Christmas party, so the Bishop called an extra one since they weren't scheduled to meet again until right before the party. Mike laid out our plans and most of the people liked it. One of the older guys isn't too thrilled, but he tried to hide it. Primary is going to do the charity booth. Burke Staker works with the Boys and Girls club a lot, so they will do something with them. (Jaime Staker is the primary president) The Sunday School is doing a sweet shop. (decorating cookies or cupcakes) Relief Society is going to have an appetizer table. Young Women are doing a hair salon. Young Men are helping with some kind of reindeer games. I think. Elders Quorum will help with set up/take down. Mike talked to Brother Henderson and he is going to do a Post Office, which will be a place to write letters to missionaries in the ward. Anyway, it should be fun. Hopefully everything comes together! Kayla and Garrett Smith came over along with Carlee and Elliot Spencer. They are on our activities committee. Mike was talking to them while I was downstairs talking to Jorja. We spent a long time figuring out her schedule. She is suppose to register on Wednesday. While we were taking she said, "Mom! I just got a text. There is a mistake and registration is open to everyone right now." She asked if I would register for her. She stayed on the phone with me. We registered one class at a time because we didn't have everything ready to just push a button and we weren't sure when this window was going to close. We got her class that only had 17 spots first. We were able to get everything she wanted except Chinese. There is a prerequisite that you have to take Chinese 2 first. Jorja is in Chinese 3 right now, but because she was an immersion student things like this fall through the cracks. We filled out a form for an exception. Jorja's going to talk to her teacher on Tuesday. Hopefully we can still get in the class.
