Ducks on Rocks

Mike had let the ducks wander around the yard while he was out working on the pond. They flew over his head and he couldn't find them. He had searched the entire yard before he called for us to help him. By now it was pretty dark. I decided to look in the front yard in case they did fly over the fence. I looked over the fence by our driveway into the Smith's yard. (Yes, our neighbors are the Smiths...what are the chances?) There the ducks were. Walking on the rocks looking very confused. The kids and Mike were so happy to have them back!

It was funny, as soon as the ducks were back in the environment they recognized they started quacking at each other like crazy, talking about their amazing adventure. Weird ducks. Speaking of weird, here is a story of what Jorja did today. There is a flower shop on the way to Jorja's work that will have a different name on it. Today the name was Sophie. Jorja took a picture of the "Free flower if your name is Sophie" sign. She sent it to Conner's sister. Jorja was friends with his sister when she went to Indian Hills, but she hasn't texted her for about two years. Jorja sent this picture with the message, "This is Jorja in case you don't have my number."
She got a reply with a short response, but that didn't concern Jorja too much. She hadn't texted Sophia in years, even though she had seen her recently. "Sophia" asked where Jorja lived. Well, Jorja thought she was wondering because her brother takes her home everyday. Jorja told her what street we lived on. "Sophia" then asked how old Jorja was. Jorja thought that was weird, but her birthday is coming up so she said that she would be 16 next Friday. Then "Sophia" asked for a picture. Uhhhhh. That was when Jorja realized she had made a big mistake. Oh boy Jorja. How do you do things like this??? Jorja wrote back that obviously she now knows she was texting the wrong number. They tried to carry on a conversation, but thankfully Jorja stopped replying.

Jorja convinced Mike to take us to a dessert place called "Last Course". We took Jorja's little bug. I can't believe everyone that lives at home fits into this car. Ahhhh! We did have fun though.

While we were out some friends of Jorja texted her to see if she was home. They wanted to bring her cookies. I think it was Kylie, Travin and Darby. (They were dropping cookies off at different houses.) Jorja was excited because she said no one has ever brought her cookies before. She told them she would be back in an hour. Well, she texted when we got back but they had just left our neighborhood. Oh well.... At least she had a lot of fun with us. I love my family.

Madison spent the night tonight. Jorja has got to admit that this is the easiest grounding ever. Mike thought it would help Jorja to have a little friend time. She seems to need to be around people. I don't understand. Still, I'm glad Madison and Jorja are friends and I'm glad Madison's parents trust us enough to have her stay.
