Maysen and I went shopping together. I was able to get a few shorts and a pair of pants and Maysen got an adorable dress. We got some food at the food court and were eating when Maysen got a call. The job she interviewed for on Friday called her. She ended up not getting the job. Someone who came interviewed after Maysen was more qualified. Maysen was so sweet on the phone and said, "That's understandable" and "thanks for treating me with such respect." It was cute. They asked for her address so they could send her a gift. Never heard of that before. Maysen is disappointed and relieved at the same time. It would be nice to have a job, but it was just over a 30 minute drive and not something she was super interested in. Technical writing for water and power plants. She was grateful for the experience and says she isn't as nervous anymore. I hope she finds something she loves.
In other news, my brother Matt turned 40 today. He's old.
